To celebrate this milestone I decided to set a poem by the great British Jesuit poet, Gerard Manley Hopkins. In my search for a text I came upon his monumental work, The Wreck of the Deutschland. The poem is in two parts. Part The First deals with faith and God. Part The Second concerns the five Franciscan nuns who perished in the sinking of the ship.
