In the triello scene, after a very tense wait, Blonde kills Sentenza, while Tuco, whose gun was discharged during the night by his companion, finds himself unarmed and at his mercy. But Blonde spares him, reveals to him that no name is indicated on the stone, and forces him to dig in the unknown man's grave next to Stanton's. The two thus come into possession of the dollars, but Blonde plays one last atrocious prank on Tuco: while the latter was digging he prepared a noose hanging from a tree, and forces the bandit to stick his neck through it while balancing precariously on a cross wooden. Then he ties his hands, and before his incredulous eyes he loads half the loot onto Sentenza's horse and walks away. He will save him in the usual way, shooting the rope from afar, amidst the bandit's begging, tears and finally insults.

Hymn Epilychnios is an ancient Christian Hymn originally written in Hellenistic Greek. It is the earliest known Christian hymn, recorded outside of the Bible,  that is still being used today. The hymn is featured in the Vespers of the Orthodox Church. Now this work op.80 stands as a special commission by Thomas Tamvakos Greek Composers’ Archive and dedicated to the artists of the premier performance Nikos Spanatis, counter-tenor and Christina Antoniadou, organ soloist (organist at the Anglican Church in Athens) who both made a recording of the piece for an upcoming cd. Rush Time was composed for two pianos in 2001 after a commission by the Rivers School in Music in Massachusetts, U.S.A. An exciting and friendly for performers and audiences work by Apostolos Paraskevas. Apostolos Paraskevas is a classical guitarist and composer as well as an award-winning film director and producer. He has received multiple international awards for his compositions and was nominated for a Grammy Award. He is the only guitarist ever to have a major orchestral piece performed at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Lukas Foss––and the only musician who has performed there in a Grim Reaper outfit. He was the founder and served for 16 years as the artistic director of the International Guitar Congress-Festival of Corfu, Greece.  He is a voting member of the Recording Academy (Grammys). After his undergraduate music studies in Volos he pursued advanced studies in classical guitar with Costas Cotsiolis (diploma, 1990) and Leo Brouwer (Havana 1984, 1988), as well as postgraduate studies in composition with Lukas Foss and Theodore Antoniou (DMA in composition, Boston University, 1998). Paraskevas embarked on a successful career as a guitar soloist and contemporary composer, achieving distinctions in both disciplines: Grammy nomination for Chase Dance (Bridge Records, 1999); first prize for Night Wanderings (Lukas Foss Composition Competition, 2000); first prize for Phygein Adynaton (National Composers Conference, 1997); and numerous prestigious commissions, performances, and publications. Following teaching posts at Northeastern and Boston Universities, Paraskevas has taught since 2001 at the Berklee College of Music in Boston (professor of composition and classical guitar). His eclectic compositional style arises as an idiosyncratic integration of seemingly conflicting influences – from avant-garde approaches to harmonic structure, form, and timbre, to pop-folk modal and rhythmical concepts – amalgamated into a personal evocative musical language, characterized by rhythmic verve, melodic grace, dramatic (and sometimes unexpectedly humorous) gestures, and ritualistic or theatrical elements. This recognizable theme from the 1993 film adaptation of The Secret Garden appears in several different tracks from the score, but most notably in Leaving the Docks and Showing Dickon Garden.I arranged the piece specifically for my 26-string Fullsicle Harpsicle harp, and it should fit on other small harp models with a similar range. But you can, of course, also play it on larger harp models (either lever or pedal), as well.Because the original version was a piano solo, I had to re-organize some of the left-hand chord structures to get it to fit the range of my small harp. But, even with this adaptation, I was able to keep it in the original key (two sharps, so D Major), meaning that owners of Sharpsicle Harpsicle models, and some Roosebeck Pakistani harps, should be able to play this piece, as well as Fullsicle Harpsicle model owners.There are no lever changes or extended techniques, but, at full-speed, the piece can prove much more challenging than it looks at first glance. In particular, I recommend practicing that quick, repetitive Alberti bass in the left-hand with a loose, exagerated oscillation movement to prevent tightness or injury. Also be wary of starting out at a speed that you can't maintain throughout the entirety of the performance. Meteronomes are your friend.Please note that the preview cuts off after the first half-page of score.
