String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.1092082 Composed by Franz Anton Hoffmeister. Arranged by Artaria Editions. Classical. Score and parts. 70 pages. Artaria Editions #696221. Published by Artaria Editions (A0.1092082). For string quartet Artaria Editions AE171 Edited by Dianne James 70 pages This is a scholarly edition of a public domain work. The three Op.14 Quartets were advertised in the Wiener Zeitung on 15 January, 1791 as the composer's newest works. They were dedicated to M. Joseph de Preuer Senior, a lawyer resident in Linz. Although modest in scope and emotional depth, all three works reveal Hoffmeister as a craftsman of refined musical sensibilities. They show a clear grasp of the conversational style of the genre, as cultivated especially by his great compatriot and true master of the genre, Joseph Haydn, and reveal a kinship with the Mozartian string quartet style in their translucent scoring, harmonic richness and melodic invention. Hoffmeister's liking for third-related juxtapositions is frequently apparent, as is his awareness of the varied textural opportunities - duets and trio scoring for example - offered by the four voices. Taken together, the freshness and vitality of all three Op.14 Quartets make them extremely worthwhile additions to the repertory of 18th-century Viennese string quartets..

1.0.1.0 - 1.0.0.0 - Klav - Str mixed choir (SATB) (female choir, children's choir) with soloists (SSATBarB) and small orchestra - easy - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q1885 Ein deutsches Weihnachtsliederspiel nach oberbayerischen und tiroler Weisen. Composed by Joseph Haas. This edition: vocal/piano score. Downloadable, vocal/piano score. Op. 85. Duration 90 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q1885. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q1885). German.
