Composed by Anton Bruckner. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Romantic Period. Score and parts. 6 pages. Peet du Toit #6207469. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802651).

Locus iste (English: This place), WAB 23, is a sacred motet composed by Anton Bruckner
in 1869. The text is the Latin gradual Locus iste for the annual celebration of a church's
dedication. The incipit, Locus iste a Deo factus est, translates to This place was made
by God. Bruckner set it for four unaccompanied voices, intended for the dedication of
the Votivkapelle (votive chapel) at the New Cathedral in Linz, Austria, where Bruckner
had been a cathedral organist. It was the first motet that Bruckner composed in Vienna.
It was published in 1886, together with three other gradual motets.

SKU: A0.919032

Composed by Anton Bruckner. Arranged by L.C. Harnsberger. Contemporary,Multicultural,Romantic Period,Wedding,World. Score and parts. 31 pages. LCH Music #3516355. Published by LCH Music (A0.919032).

This piece for horn quartet was adapted from three rarely heard pieces by Anton Bruckner. The Praludium and Postlude were originally written for keyboard. Bruckner was probably the finest organ improvisor of his time, but he wrote very few pieces for that instrument. The Chorale is adapted from an early quartet for men's voices c. 1848. Fortunately these three pieces work perfectly together for four horns. Bruckner's unmistakable harmonies, counterpoint, and drama are all present in this work. All attempts were made to create an edition that accurately reflects Bruckner's music as if he had originally written it for horn quartet. Enharmonic spellings were retained, and the articulations and dynamics were adjusted to both reflect Bruckner's intentions while making the music appropriate for live performances. Praludium, Chorale, and Postlude for Four Horns is a perfect piece for recitals, festivals, weddings, and any other ceremony.
