A percussion player can easily join in. For the singer, only lyrics are provided, since it is most likely that he or she will learn the song by ear anyway. This chart has been written for 6 horns (alto sax, tenor sax, bari sax, 2 trumpets and trombone) and follows the same form as the original recording. The key may present problems for less experienced players although the horn figures are fairly straightforward forward. It will require a robust lead trumpet for the ending although the C6 (written) and 2nd trumpet parts could be played 8vab. He faced many challenges, but he was helped by a wolf who turns out to be Princess Lenka under a spell. When the firebird was captured, it made a deal with Ivan and with its magic helped him deal with the Czar. Ivan, Lenka and the Kingdom are happy ever after.I attempted to create an exotic sound-world by using throughout the Hungarian Gypsy scale.
