Brass Quintet Baritone Horn TC,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1462326 By Bobby Vinton. By Jaromir Vejvoda, Lew Brown, Vasek Zeman, and Vladimir A. Timm. Arranged by Will Corbin. Standards. 24 pages. Will Corbin #1041069. Published by Will Corbin (A0.1462326). Here's Oktoberfest 101, a basic requirement for any polka band. It started out as a composition by a Czech composer, got new lyrics and new names in many languages (in Germany, where the Germans claim it as their own, it's called Rosamunde) and became wildly popular across the globe during World War II, after the Andrews Sisters made a hit of it in 1939.This one is scored for two trumpet, horn, tuba and baritone, a more fitting instrument for an Oktoberfest band than a trombone. If you'd like other instrumentation, I'm happy to accommodate. Contact me at wilcor@aol.com.

Small Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.947281 Composed by John C. Philips. Instructional. Score and parts. 38 pages. John Philips Music Service #6521987. Published by John Philips Music Service (A0.947281). This is a system to help the arranger find new ways to format and voice his work. You are taught to group into the 4 basic functions--Lead--Harmony--Counter--Mush (background). Inside each are countless variations plus the voicing of each to the others-  Next is the harmonic voicing by raising or lowering one chordal tone an octave. There are huge choices now with all the possibilities. You will be guided thru a 2 chorus chart for a new Middle School Band--advanced beginners--of a simple tune. You will use a timeline and plot the functions on it.  The idea is WHO PLAYS WHAT AND FOR HOW LONG.  You are guided along the way.  Learning to hear IN YOUR HEAD is constantly stressed. Harmony, orchestration, counterpoint or anything else is taught except how to find many, many voicing possibilities and how to use a structure to put it all together.  This is done with no notes--none--it's about logic and using your ideas in the best way to use your ideas to beat advantage- Percussion is added to your completed score.  All the charts, graphs and other fill in examples makes order out of all the details so you can concentrate on one thing at a time without losing sight of the structure of the completed work.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.773335 Composed by Folk. Arranged by Yoel Epstein. Christian,Jewish,Sacred,World. Score and parts. 10 pages. Yoel Epstein #4286157. Published by Yoel Epstein (A0.773335). This song has become an icon of remembrance of the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust. It is traditionally played on Holocaust Day, which is on the 28th day of the Hebrew month of Nissan in Israel, or January 27th in the rest of the world. Ani Maamin (I Believe): The words to this simple song are of the Jewish prayer I believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah. The tune is attributed to Azriel David Festig, a leading Warsaw hazzan (cantor) who died in the Holocaust. The song was performed after the war by Rabbi Shaul Yedidia Eliezer Taub, the Admor (Rabbinical leader) of the Modzitz Hassidic sect, and has become the iconic song of the remembrance in the Hassidic community.  This is one of four songs for Holocaust Remembrance Day that I have arranged for string quartet. The set of songs is available for download at https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/four-songs-of-the-holocaust-arranged-for-string-quartet-digital... The other songs are  Unter Dyne Vyse Shteren (Under the Starry Sky) was written by Avraham Sutskover, a leading Yiddish poet, while trapped in the ghetto of Vilna, in July 1943. Shtiller Shtiller (Hush Hush) was written by Alexander Volkovitzky, then a 12-year-old boy, in the Vilna Ghetto in the spring of 1943.  Hatikva (the Hope) is Israel's national anthem. The words are by Naftali Zvi Imber, and the tune is a traditional eastern European tune. You are welcome to try some of my other arrangements. In addition to the songs offered on this site (you can see them at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/search?Ntt=Yoel+Epstein ), I have arranged three songs from the Holocaust, which I arranged and distribute for free on IMSLP. You can find them at http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Ravpapa. If you need arrangements of any of these songs for special combinations of instruments, feel free to contact me, and I will try to accommodate. Write me at yoelepst@gmail.com.  Hope you enjoy.
