Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1217424 By Charity Gayle. By Bryan Mccleery, Charity Gayle, David Gentiles, Ryan Kennedy, and Steven Musso. Arranged by Ken Litton. Christian,Contemporary,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred. Octavo. 10 pages. Artist of Note, Inc. #813967. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1217424). Thank You, Jesus, for the Blood Words and Music by Charity Gayle, Ryan Kennedy, Steven Musso, David Gentiles & Bryan McCleery. SATB with Keyboard, Optional solos: Alto & TenorAvailable at:www.SheetMusicDirect.comThis fine testimony and worship expression is limited to very practical ranges in unison, two, there and four parts, featuring a highly doable lift at the key change up to the key of C.And, even though there is a second voice in the tenor and bass voices at measure 57 the congregation could, optionally sing along in unison (having heard the refrain a couple of times). The accompaniment, though syncopated is about as simple as possible with very little in the left hand beyond beat three of any measure, especially when the right hand is busy. And—importantly—this arrangement retains the gospel hymn included in the artist version, but with a choral approach and a voicing that is more true to Down at the Cross in its hymnal versions, so “It’s more like we know it.Thanks, as always to the good folks at ArrangeMe.com, a division of Hal Leonard!

C Instrument - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1148947 By Artist of Note. By Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Ken Litton. Christmas,Classical,Historic,Religious,Sacred. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 1 pages. Artist of Note, Inc. #749075. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1148947). OK, you still have that Christmas Eve (or other Advent) service coming up. And, like that night long ago when the organ was broken there’s a problem: With your keyboard player out, you need to play Silent Night with the congregation. And, though you don’t play guitar all that well, you’d rather do more than just the first stanza a cappella or you want to tell the story of how it was originally done. Well, here’s an answer that’s about as simple, playable and well edited as it gets. It’s not as easy for the singers as C or Bb, but a student guitarist can play it quite beautifully. And you can, too! Just use the guitar chord symbols. Prepare, then sleep in heavenly peace!

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1450566 Composed by Robert Lowry. Arranged by Ken Litton. Christian,Instructional,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 3 pages. Artist of Note, Inc. #1030191. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1450566). Shall We Gather at the RiverRobert Lowry, 1864Easy intermediate PIANOFrom the author/composer of How Can I Keep from Singing, Low in The Grave He Lay/Christ Arose, All the Way My Savior Leads Me, We’re Marching to Zion and I Need Thee Every Hour comes this classic hymn of longing for heaven, worship and fellowship by Robert Lowry, 1864.On a ministry visit to a grieving family he was asked, “Pastor, we have parted at the river of death. Will we meet again by the river of life?” Lowry assured her from Revelation 22:1 they they would. Then, later that afternoon he wrote both the words and the music of Shall We Gather at the River. The arrangement may serve as well as an early goal for a progressing piano student as for an intermediate to advanced player this coming Sunday. The intro announces the tune and calls the first line of the chorus to mind. After setting the meditative mood the first stanza is presented in right hand melody with left hand accompaniment that only occasionallyis rhythmically active beyond beat three. Then, the easily playable key change takes the vision to the bank of the “shining river” by way of a brief, flowing left hand figuration. A few easily-managed major seven chords and an expressive dotted eighth note or two later the “melody of peace” concludes with echoes of the intro, bringing both heart and hands to rest. All this from the places you go for the best in downloadable resources:Sheet Music Directsheetmusicdirect.comSheet Music Plussheetmusicplus.comAs well as via Hal Leonard InStore™ retailers. Also…be sure to check out other titles from East of the Altar/Artist of Note, Inc.Thanks, as always to the good folks at ArrangeMe.com, a division of Hal Leonard!

Cello,Harpsichord Accompaniment - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1500764 Composed by NOEL CMD Trad. English Melody. Arranged by Ken Litton. Historic,Religious,Sacred,Standards. Accompaniment. Duration 188. Artist of Note, Inc. #1076843. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1500764). It Came Upon the Midnight ClearNOEL CMD Trad. English Melodyarranged by Ken Litton (ASCAP)Audio Demo/Accompaniment trackAlso available: Sheet Music Plushttps://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/product/it-came-upon-a-midnight-clear-22842289.htmlSheet Music Directhttps://www.sheetmusicdirect.com/en-US/se/ID_No/1606059/Product.aspxThe text is the familiar hymn of Edmund Hamilton Sears (1810-1876), an American clergyman ministering for many years in Massachusetts. After a retirement due to health concerns, his second Christmas hymn dating from about 1849 was published in The Christian Register. Of it a fellow minister by the name of Morrison wrote, I always feel that, however poor my Christmas sermon may be, the reading and singing of It Came Upon the Midnight Clear are enough to make up for all deficiencies.”Here the tune is NOEL (CMD). The arrangement begins in Eb moving up to F, followed by an expressive (optionally a cappella) section in Dm. After a brief return to F for the final stanza (with a descant limited to top space F) there is a subtle surprise by joy to Em and on to a singable ending in G, with options for second soprano. The voicing range from unison to 2-part and on to 3 and 4 parts, but in a singable, approachable range for choirs of medium ability and only a hint of easily sung divisi. The accompaniment is active but playable and the score suggests a harpsichord voice as the keyboard option. The style of the piece——as well as the mp3 instrumentation—allude to abasso continuo optional part for cello, bassoon, or other C bass instrument, a separate medium difficulty part included. And mp3 demo/slass accompaniment track is available separately. All this from the places you go for the best in downloadable resources as well as via Hal Leonard InStore™ retailers.Be sure to check out other titles from East of the Altar/Artist of Note, Inc.Thanks, as always to the good folks at ArrangeMe.com, a division of Hal Leonard.

Artist of Note, Inc. #1078881. Published by Artist of Note, Inc. (A0.1503432). A Mission for Every OneAudio accompaniment/demo MP3A song I wrote at the request of the South Brazil Mission of the International Mission Board SBC, for their Annual South Brazil Mission Meeting in 1997 while we were serving the churches of the Federal District Baptist Convention in the capital city of Brasília (1000 miles into the interior of the country). The key reference here is Matthew 24:4-14...And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.—KJV#evangelism #outreach #witness #testifyAvailable where you go for the best in downloadable resources, including:Sheet Music PlusSheet Music DirectAnd via your local Hal Leonard InStore music dealerAlso…check out other titles from East of the Altar/Artist of Note, Inc.!Thanks, as always to the good folks at ArrangeMe.com, a division of Hal Leonard!

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1333015 Composed by Victor Rebullida. 21st Century,Comedy,Holiday,March. 95 pages. Victor Rebullida #919400. Published by Victor Rebullida (A0.1333015). With this composition I wanted to pay tribute to an artist who was famous in his time and fell into oblivion until recent times when his figure has been recovered by various research works.May this work serve as a vindication of the great Marceline. The piece has an optimistic character and in its nearly five minutes of duration I make nods to circus music and the atmosphere of the shows in which Marceline participated.Marceline is the stage name of Marcelino Orbés. He was a Spanish clown, mime, acrobat, comic actor and circus artist, with American nationality since 1922, who is considered the best clown in the world of his time.Marceline was Spanish artist born in 1873 who performed in several European countries. Around 1895 he had success at the London Hippodrome and then enticed by producers Thompson and Dundy to come to the New York Hippodrome, where he arrived with great fanfare in 1905. He was a part of shows at the Hippodrome through 1915, by which time his pantomime routine and falling gags were falling out of favor with the public. He did reappear at the Hippodrome for some later shows in 1920-21 and 1922-23.Attempts to succeed in the restaurant business in New York and Connecticut both failed, and he lost money in real estate ventures. Out of work and out of savings, Marceline was found dead by suicide in his hotel room on November 5, 1927, with photographs of his glory days on the bed.Marceline was long admired by Charlie Chaplin, who worked with Marceline at the London Hippodrome from December 1900 to April 1901, and is one of just a few performers from this period of his life that Chaplin discusses in his autobiography. Chaplin recounts seeing him years later in the United States with a circus, and though expecting to see him be a featured star, was surprised to see him only amongst other clowns.

String Bass, Clarinet, Trumpet & TromboneMany choirs/ensembles haven't done many trumpet-feature songs in the last decade or so. But, since the trumpet figures so prominently in the Bible why not try one?! And, since both the anthems and contemporary worship songs of today tend to neglect the second coming of Christ here’s an offering from the spiritual/anthem/jazz confluence.Angel, Blow that Trumpet is based on I Corinthians 13:50-57 and I Thessalonians 4:13-18.  The style? Well, let’s call it “Natalie Sleeth meets New Orleans jazz!”You’re almost sure to find the voicing very approachable, yet thrilling for SATB (TTNN and SSA also available). The accompaniment is a dixie-land styling originally conceived for piano, string bass/fretless electric bass/standard bass guitar (it would be fun to have someone do it on the “big bass viol”), Bb clarinet, trombone and Bb trumpet. These parts are included with the choral score.Above all, it's fairly easy to learn and fun to sing! The clarinet and trombone parts a lot of fun and the trumpet part features an easily playable/adaptable ending that really nails the piece (actually the lower version is really nice). It turns out that they are really best for good, legit players just as written in a swing style. And, though I know that you have more than enough skill to get all of this from the score, the audio file in mp3 format (3:32) will also available separately. All this from the places you go for the best in downloadable resources:Sheet Music Directsheetmusicdirect.comSheet Music Plussheetmusicplus.comAs well as via Hal Leonard InStore™ retailers. Also…be sure to check out other titles from East of the Altar/Artist of Note, Inc.Thanks, as always to the good folks at ArrangeMe.com, a division of Hal Leonard.

Arranged by Chris Gorman. Classical,Romantic Period. Brass Band. 105 pages. Chris Gorman #1089546. Published by Chris Gorman (A0.1515048). The Symphonie fantastique is a piece of programme music that tells the story of a gifted artist who, in the depths of hopelessness and despair because of his unrequited love for a woman, has poisoned himself with opium. The piece tells the story of the artist's drug-fuelled hallucinations, beginning with a ball and a scene in a field and ending with a march to the scaffold and a satanic dream. Having grown sure that his love is unappreciated, the artist poisons himself with opium. The dose of the narcotic, too small to kill him, plunges him into a sleep accompanied by the most horrible visions. He dreams that he has killed the one he loved, that he is condemned, that he is being led to execution, and that he is witnessing his own guillotining. The procession advances to the sounds of a march sometimes dark and fierce, sometimes brilliant and solemn, in which a muffled sound of heavy footsteps follows without transition the loudest outbursts. At the end of the march, the first four bars of the idée fixe reappear like a last thought of love interrupted by the fatal blow. This arrangement follows closely to the original Orchestral score and is an ideal addition to the Brass Band Library.

The Painter was inspired by living my life close to an artist.  I wanted to portray the difficulty, passion and elation an artist of any type experiences when creating a piece that aims to express emotions or a meaning that is something not tangible; the enlightening that an artist feels when a painting finally comes together after a long struggle for the subject, composition and color. It consists of 3 separate parts or conversations she is having with her work.  6th string to D, 2nd string to  A tuning allows for an ease to fingering.

Brass & PercussionLooking for something just a bit different/reduced from the concertato form, and even easier to learn to kick off the choir season?Based on Praise the Lord Who Reigns Above this arrangement, entitled Let All Things Praise the Lord is faithful to the original including a stanza omitted in most hymnals that speaks of the choir as a battle-worthy leadership unit in worship. The text, based on Psalm 150 by English pastor Charles Wesley, was originally published in his brother, John Wesley’s Founder Collection of 1742 in conjunction the tune AMSTERDAM (which carried annotations and adaptations from a German tune). Immediately following the choir, brass, percussion and organ/keyboard fanfare, opportunity is given to the congregation to participate in the liturgy. The middle section is original music that wings the emotion/meaning of the text to a more meditative stream and back again—via a reprise of the opening fanfare—to the rousing finale with a creative descant that appears not only in Soprano/Tenor, but also (for a change) in Alto and Bass. And, with a little attention from the conductor and choir the congregation can stay in it until the final release!Included are parts for: Choir, Organ/Keyboard, Bb Trumpets, F Horn, Trombones, Bass Trombone/Tuba and Percussion: Mallets/Tympani (2 players) as well as alternate parts for Baritone B.C., Baritone T.C., Eb Alto Saxophone, Bb Tenor Saxophone and Eb Baritone Saxophone.Available where you go for the best in downloadable resources, including:Sheet Music DirectSheet Music PlusComing soon! And via your local music dealer. Also…check out other titles from Artist of Note, Inc. and East of the Altar! Thanks, as always to the good folks at ArrangeMe.com, a division of Hal Leonard!
