Brass Ensemble - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.931290 Composed by Harry Gregson-Williams. Arranged by Alessandro Macrì. Contemporary. Score and parts. 14 pages. Music Macri Editions #6675153. Published by Music Macri Editions (A0.931290). The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is the soundtrack of the film of the same name. Harry Gregson-Williams composed the soundtrack, which was released on December 13, 2005 by Walt Disney Records.During the recording process, Gregson-Williams employed the 75-piece Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra, along with a 140-member choir (from Abbey Road Studios, London, England; mostly members of the Bach Choir) and numerous other solo musicians such as electric violinist Hugh Marsh and vocalist Lisbeth Scott (at his Wavecrest Studio). He composed the original score and then spent late September through early November 2005 conducting the Hollywood Orchestra and overseeing the recording of the English choir.[2] For color, he employed instruments used in ancient folk music, and to underscore critical dramatic moments, he added choral textures and, occasionally, a solo voice. The score includes instances of electronic music.Though frequent comparisons were made between it and Howard Shore's score for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001–03), Gregson-Williams said he was not influenced by Shore during the scoring of The Chronicles of Narnia. He also said he composed over 100 minutes of music for the original score, although less than sixty minutes made the final cut.The score features many uses of themes or leitmotifs, the most prominent of which are a motif for the Pevensie children, a motif for Narnia itself, and the Heroic motif. The heroic motif, however, is not heard until track nine (To Aslan's Camp).

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.927475 Composed by Annie Routley. Christian,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 7 pages. Christian Music Ministries #6306121. Published by Christian Music Ministries (A0.927475). Words and music by Annie RoutleyA setting of words from Hebrews 12:2 (chorus) with verses encouraging faith and hope in the midst of a painful situation.Sources of inspiration for this song were threefold: firstly the Scripture from Hebrews 12 was my baptism verse, on Easter Sunday 1979; secondly, from Corrie ten Boom´s ´The Hiding Place´, where her sister Betsy tells Corrie not to look at the wounds she´d received from the concentration camp guards, but to look instead at Jesus and fix her eyes on him; and thirdly, from C S Lewis´ ´The Magician´s Nephew´, where Digory wants so desperately for Aslan to cure his mother who is terminally ill, but the great Lion sets him a task instead which will protect all of Narnia for years to come; Digory is looking down at Aslan´s paws, his heart heavy, but as he looks up into the Lion´s face, what he sees there surprises him very deeply – for Aslan´s eyes are filled with tears. He realizes that Aslan cares even more deeply about Digory´s mother than he himself. For soloist, 4–part choir and piano accompaniment. Guitar chords also included. From the Roger Jones Song Collection (2010); originally from the collection ´Precious and honoured´ (1995). A backing track and/or instrumental parts are available on request from events@cmm.org.uk

Instrumental Duet,Piano Flute,Instrumental Duet,Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.985905 Composed by Roger Davidson. Jazz,Latin. Score and parts. 3 pages. Musica Universalis Publishing #3012265. Published by Musica Universalis Publishing (A0.985905). From the CD Journey To Rio by Roger Davidson (Soundbrush Records)Like many Americans, Roger Davidson discovered the bossa nova through the recordings of Stan Getz, and since then, the sounds of Brazil have been especially close to his heart. In four previous CDs – Brazilian Love Song, Bom Dia, Rodgers in Rio, and Bingo – he brought his unique spin to the music of a country that, remarkably, he had never visited. In October 2011, that changed.Accompanied by his producer, the Argentine bassist and bandleader Pablo Aslan, Roger took his first trip to Brazil. Most of his eight days there, which he spent in Rio de Janeiro, were occupied by six recording sessions. Roger arrived with a hundred of his Brazilian compositions to choose from; the songs he recorded – in addition to several new ones he composed in Rio – comprise these two CDs.Journey to Rio features deeply emotional Brazilian love songs alongside Davidson’s French inspired compositions. These compositions enforce a sense of rooted emotion that melds Davidson’s vast life experiences of international culture with the modern expressions of Brazilian jazz.
