Instrumental Duet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1316942 Composed by Alvin Greiner, George Scheck, and Rod Gordon Parker. Arranged by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee. Christmas,Holiday,Multicultural,Pop,World. 6 pages. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee #905622. Published by Sarah Cellobat Chaffee (A0.1316942). *INSTRUMENTATION: VIOLIN & VIOLA DUET*Donde Esta Santa Claus? was released in 1958 by Puerto Rican singer Augie Rios, who was only 12 at the time. The fun melody, lovely orchestral and vocal backgrounds, and of course the adorable delivery by its young singer quickly made the song a huge hit, and it is still beloved to this day! It has since been covered by numerous other artists and made appearances in various movies and TV shows -- so you definitely can't go wrong having this one in your gig books. This Cellobat arrangement for violin and viola duet is the perfect addition to your Christmas gig binders; it's lots of fun to play and to listen to, and you're sure to get your audience singing along! Rated easy intermediate -- there are a few syncopated rhythms to pay attention to, but this will be playable for students and easily sightreadable for professionals. Sarah Cellobat Chaffee earned her bachelor's degree in cello performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music and is now based in Las Vegas. She currently performs with Aerosmith in their Deuces Are Wild residency at The Park MGM Theater, and she regularly performs at Allegiant Stadium as a member of the house band for the Las Vegas Raiders football team. Sarah is also the principal cellist in David Perrico's Pop Strings Orchestra, a world-renowned 14-piece dance band, and she plays regularly for Premiere Wedding Music, Bella Electric Strings, and the Femmes Of Rock. Sarah has performed and recorded with many other artists including Halsey, Disturbed, Mötley Crüe, Celine Dion, Michael Bublé, Kygo, Ricky Martin, Sarah Brightman, Il Divo, and Lady Antebellum. String Orchestra - Digital Download SKU: AX.00-PC-0016018_VC1 Cello. Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Robert Sieving. Classical. Part. 2 pages. Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music #00-PC-0016018_VC1. Published by Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music (AX.00-PC-0016018_VC1). UPC: 038081457666.Alfred Einstein, the eminent musicologist, declared this piano concerto to be Mozart's most characteristic creation . . . the peak of all his instrumental achievement. The span of these amazing works provides a view of the fascinating journey from a great talent to pure genius. Unlike most of the Middle Concertos, Mozart considered this selection to be a chamber work, where spare instrumentation, and, in the case of the Andantino movement, a religious air, exhibit similarities to some choral works, like Ave Verum Corpus. This arrangement allows the eloquent melodic themes to be shared by all sections, requiring attention to detail and sensitive phrasing. This title is available in SmartMusic.Concert/Contest; Festival.

Contrabassoon & piano - Digital Download SKU: IZ.PDP304 Composed by Ralph Nicholson. Score and Parts. 17 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #PDP304. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.PDP304). 9 x 12 in inches.Nicholson's compositional activity featured works for singers and wind instrumentalists-the latter works usually written for his colleagues in the LSO. The roster of dedicatees for these pieces reads as a veritable Who's Who of British wind players: Archie Camden, Nicholas Daniel. Clive Evans, Leon Goosens, Val Kennedy, and Gervase de Peyer. The work written for Kennedy, the Impromptu for Contrabassoon and Small Orchestra, caught the attention of the American contrabassoonists Susan Nigro. She began a friendship with Nicholson through correspondence and eventually performed the Impromptu many times, both with orchestra and the composer's piano reduction.Nigro requested another piece for contrabassoon from Nicholson and the result is the Miniature Suite for Contrabassoon and Piano. Nicholson composed the work during January and February of 1993. Susan Nigro and pianist Mark Lindeblad performed the world premiere on a recital in Chicago on 28 September 1993. The Miniature Suite was originally published by Bassoon Heritage Edition in 1995.

Large Ensemble Baritone Recorder,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Guitar,Bassoon,Cello,Double Bass,Euphonium,Handbell,Harpsichord,Horn,Marimba,Orff Instrument,Organ,Piano,Timpani,Trombone,Tuba,Voice - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.931838 Composed by Nathan Petitpas - Dots and Beams. Instructional. Score and parts. 129 pages. Dots and Beams #5313621. Published by Dots and Beams (A0.931838). This book provides its user with a series of notes on a bass staff with no rhythm values and no meter. Chapters are organized by the placement of the notes relative to the staff; on the staff, above the staff, below the staff, on and above the staff, and on and below the staff. For each pitch range there is one chapter with no accidentals and one chapter with accidentals. All exercises have a space at the beginning of each staff to write in a key signature, allowing each exercise to be read in all keys and used in many ways. The aim with this book is to allow the user to focus specifically on exercises centred around pitch without the distraction of rhythmic values or time signatures. This can begin with the practice of sight-reading but can expand to include many other learning goals. The diatonic sets contain notes with no accidentals or key signature. These collections can be read as written, using only natural notes, or in any of the 15 key signatures from 7 flats to 7 sharps. Chromatic collections include sharp and flat notes as well as natural ones. The later exercises in these chapters increase the difficulty by including B#, Cb, E#, and Fb. Ledger line chapters start with the first ledger line and gradually expand away from the staff. Exercises above and below the staff extend to the space just beyond the fourth ledger line. The random nature of the notes in these exercises is intentional; it forces the user to pay attention to each note and makes the exercises very difficult to memorize, ensuring that they will still present a challenge even after multiple readings. It’s important when sight-reading to cycle through the exercises quickly rather than dwelling on a single exercise for a long time. This will ensure that you’re strengthening your ability to read the notes rather than just memorizing the exercises. Some suggestions for how to use this book include: Gain comfort reading the notes and finding them on your instrument in no particular rhythm or tempo. A greater challenge can be achieved by playing them at a steady tempo or by playing them in a simple rhythmic pattern. Beginner students can begin by writing in the note names. Play each exercise in all 15 key signatures. Advanced theory students and improvising musicians can also use these exercises to practice identifying scale degrees in various keys or playing chords built on every scale degree in the chosen key. Develop comfort with chords by playing a chord built on each note in the exercise. For example: for each note in the exercise, play the major chord with that root. Increase the difficulty with different chord qualities or different chord tones, for example: for every note, play the minor 7th chord in which the given note is the 3rd. Practice transposing into different keys. This is an especially useful challenge for people who play transposing instruments such as brass and woodwind instruments. Chapters with wide ranges can present a great exercise for musicians who play instruments where large leaps are a challenge. People who play strings, mallet percussion, piano, woodwinds, and brass would be among those who would benefit from practising these awkward leaps and falls. As with any of the Dots and Beams books, the uses for this particular collection are limited only by the imagination of the musician using it. I highly encourage anybody using this book to find as many uses for it as possible. My hope is that as you grow as a musician you will find ever more creative and challenging ways to use these materials so that you can return to these books for years and still find a valuable way to use them.

Picc. (G tr). 3 Fl. Afl. Bfl. (Cafl). (Cbfl). Cbfl in G). (Dbl Cbfl). - Easy - Intermediate - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM600 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Robert Rainford. A great piece for introducing the full flute choir to audiences. Score and parts. 53 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM600. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM600). ISBN 9790570484997.This piece has been created to give the flute choir a chance to introduce the entire flute family to the audience in a lighthearted, fun way. At each 'vamp' section, while the flutes continue to play the ostinato pattern the narrator (this can be the conductor or a dedicated narrator) can talk to the audience about the flute that is about to play the next 'verse' of the tune. The style of the narration can be varied depending on the nature of the situation. It may be possible to hold up the various flutes next to each other to give the audience an idea of the comparative sizes of the various instruments. You could also talk about relative pitches of each member of the flute family, their development, some repertoire (both solo and orchestral), and about the development of the flute choir as an ensemble. This piece is performable with the minimum forces of piccolo, 3 flutes, alto flute and bass flute. The sections featuring the other, rarer member of the flute family can be omitted by cutting from the end of any vamp bar to the letter where the next available solo instrument takes the tune. Following the entry of the last solo instrument (the piccolo) there are two sections for the full flute choir. One also features some hidden flute 'lollipops' that you may or may not want to draw the audiences attention to, and the final section is a jazzy finale with the option of swinging the quavers. Above all, this arrangement was produced to be usable. Please feel free to adapt it in any way you like to help us introduce audiences to the great sound of the flute choir!

Johan Verhey is a professional musician and composer, as well as arranger. He knows how it feels to play a piece “in the pocket†with the intention of the original composer always in mind. His arrangements honour the Artist who wrote the original piece to express their soul. Each measure is created with precise attention to the intention of the lyrics. The instrumentation carries forward the story with dynamic harmonies. Johan Verhey understands the nuances of this piece and creates a dynamic and engaging arrangement. He also understands the power of the moment when the musician feels equally inspired and free to soar within the structure. The ability to play this arrangement does not require a specific skill level; only the heart , soul and intention is mandatory.More music from Johan Verhey, see: www.bestarrangementsforbands.com.

Score and individual part. 12 pages. Christopher Alexander #974771. Published by Christopher Alexander (A0.1391239). The Great American Songbook has become filled with proud, historical repertoire over the years, none more than the songs written by George M. Cohan as they most notably display the Americana ideologies. Light-hearted, Patriotic, and entertaining to all of its listeners, The Yankee Doodle Boy has become one such notable song. This tune (usually the chorus) is usually educated to elementary school children, so its familiarity is still heard today. In this arrangement, the bouncy piano accompaniment is equally matched with the jaunty lyrical melody, creating a fun setting that will catch the attention of the audience. The Yankee Doodle Boy is included in the collection:Songs Without Words: Ten Popular Songs Arranged for Solo Instrument with Piano Accompaniment

String Quartet Cello,Double Bass,Piano,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1376321 By Heidi Savoie. By Heidi Savoie. Arranged by Heidi Savoie. Classical,Contemporary,Jazz,Pop,Singer/Songwriter. 15 pages. Heidi Savoie #960865. Published by Heidi Savoie (A0.1376321). This score is an arrangement for piano, violin I and II, viola, cello, bass with optional drums.Backstory: Years ago I wrote a simple piano piece for my students. As instrumental music can fully exist outside the confines of words, it can be difficult to find the right title for something that is pure sound and possibility. I took inspiration from the time of year in which I had composed it and stamped it, “Almost Mayâ€. Like springtime in the Northern Hemisphere, “Almost May†unfolds slowly and majestically, with ever-evolving layers for the senses to discover. What to listen for: ThemeThe main theme is first presented by the piano with minimal fanfare. This part was written to be easy enough for a child, which despite being sparing of notes, delivers rich harmonic content. Every note has been carefully curated for the optimal combination of accessibility and depth. Weaving chromatically into distantly-related keys, the melody takes small steps into contrasting musical spaces. In a wordless procession, the storyline plays out, as if the theme discovers that someone very different lives next door, and they slowly become inseparable. The piano is accompanied by an airy touch of brushes against a snare drum, like the pitter patter of soft feline steps. In the low frequency range, the upright bass supports and deepens the tonal palette with its earthy underpinnings. What to listen for: Variation I The unmistakable string section arrives like a breath of warm air. Lush, warm and reassuring like sunshine on your cheeks, the string parts begin with long tones. This broadness and stability will evolve into more layers of complexity throughout the section. While the role of the string section is background accompaniment, it undergoes textural changes which allow for some layers to briefly rise to the forefront as melody. Careful listening to the string parts will reveal an oceanic churning, a motion from background to foreground with expansions and contractions along the way. Floating overtop this density is the improvised piano solo, with ascending gestures that progress in detail and density. Each instrument enters a general unfolding and growth period in the first variation. The bass and drums include more fills than before, as the ensemble tends gradually toward more grandeur. What to listen for: Variation II The final variation opens with a decadent treatment of the melody. What was initially expressed by a soloist as a childlike plea is reimagined as a two-part conversation between the piano and lead viola. The obbligato voiced in the viola is a derivation of the melody that holds the space between phrases so the listener's attention is passed seamlessly between the piano and viola part. This dialogue features commentary on the original melody in the form of ornamentation and taking surprising pathways to expected destinations. The rhythm section (bass and drums) takes more liberties in creating a verdant soundscape as the ensemble rises to a final climax. Credits: I would like to thank Cole Canaday for the nuance, imagination and depth of understanding with which he brought this piece to life. I would also like to thank Blake Hamilton and Anastace for providing invaluable audio engineering feedback.
