I had a special request to play this tune for a 2022 St. Patrick's celebration, which inspired me to write this arrangement.I've scored and recorded this tune for tenor recorder and violin, with each instrument getting a chance to play the melody line. I've added double stops in the violin part for a fuller, more energetic sound.This duo can also be played on flute and violin, on soprano recorder (an octave higher than tenor recorder) and violin, or on penny whistle and violin.

Although specifically written for tenor recorder and violin, the recorder part could also be played on flute or another C instrument that has a contrasting timbre to the violin. This is an unusual duet combination which I hope will be enjoyed as a recital/repertory piece or perhaps as prelude music before a wedding ceremony.
