Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1369426 By Cecilia Bartoli. By Benedetto Marcello. Arranged by Terry Carpenter. Baroque. 17 pages. Terry Carpenter #953783. Published by Terry Carpenter (A0.1369426). Transcription for classical guitar of a lyrical aria extract from volume one of the famous Aria Antiche by Alessandro Parisotti. I have added a tablature of the guitar part and the chords. Thus, no need for a piano: you can sing and accompany yourself on the beach or near the campfire! If the guitar part seems sometimes difficult, play the chords - it works!I didn't always respect the constraint of transcribing in first position, and it would have been a shame to ignore certain melodic movements.Listen to the version of Cecilia Bartoli to get the right feeling, on the YouTube link belowOn the pdf, you will find the score, the voice part, the guitar part and a guitar and tablature part. The mp3 was made by musical software.Contact: carpentermusic@yahoo.com.

Choral Choir,Choral (TB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1346467 Composed by Franz Schubert. Arranged by D. Jason Bishop. 19th Century,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. 8 pages. Tully Road Music #931253. Published by Tully Road Music (A0.1346467). Die Forelle (D. 550, Op. 32) is among Schubert’s early contributions to the genre of the Lied, a 19th-century German art song for solo voice and piano. Schubert composed over 600 Lieder, and although many of them became popular, Die Forelle was – and still is – one of the most widely recognized and performed. Composed in 1817, Die Forelle takes its text from a 1783 poem of the same name by Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart. In it, a casual observer stands on the banks of a tranquil stream, admiring the movements of a “frisky†fish as it darts below the surface. The tone of the music changes when, to the observer’s horror, a fisherman puts an end to both his and the trout’s merriment by snagging the fish on his hook and reeling him in. In a final stanza which Schubert omits from his setting, we learn that Schubart’s poem is actually a metaphorical story intended to warn young women against the trickery of their young male suitors. As in Gretchen am Spinnrade and many other Lieder, Schubert “characterizes†the piano accompaniment, in this case through both the upward-winding sixteenth-note triplets representing the wriggling movements of a fish, and the abrupt shift towards agitated rhythms in measure 33 when the fish is hooked. The song gained such swift popularity that only two years after its composition in 1817, Schubert was commissioned to write an instrumental chamber work incorporating music from Die Forelle. The result was his Trout Quintet of 1819 (Piano Quintet in A Major, D. 667), the fourth movement of which is a set of variations on the Die Forelle tune. This arrangement is also available for 3-part treble (SSA) voices published by Hal Leonard Corporation, 10500871.

String Ensemble,String Trio Cello,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.961701 Arranged by Gary Arrington. Celtic,Folk. Score and parts. 4 pages. Gary Hobart Arrington #6063387. Published by Gary Hobart Arrington (A0.961701). The story of the song is largely true. James MacPherson was an outlaw in the North East of Scotland, one of the travelling people and the leader of a band of robbers. MacPherson was caught in Keith and hanged at the Cross of Banff on 16 November 1700. MacPherson was a fine fiddler, and he composed this tune the night before he was hanged and played it on the scaffold. Then he offered to give his fiddle to anyone who would play the tune at his wake. No-one would, so he smashed the fiddle. Anyone who had accepted it would have shown themselves to be a relative or friend of his and so liable to arrest themselves. The song is also known as 'MacPherson's Farewell'. Robert Burns rewrote the song, but these are the traditional lyrics. The tune is very popular amongst Scottish fiddlers. The pieces of MacPherson’s fiddle are displayed in the MacPherson Clan House Museum in Newtonmore.
