Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Trio Bassoon,Clarinet,Oboe - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.993093 Composed by Kat Felicis Ioco. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival. 29 pages. Kat Felicis Ioco Productions LLC #3909289. Published by Kat Felicis Ioco Productions LLC (A0.993093). Unexpected Amusements Facilitating Hijinks of Chaotic Invention is a short three-movement work for Bb clarinet, oboe, and bassoon. Unexpected Amusements introduces the quirky trio with its major stylings and chromatic flourishes, Facilitating Hijinks adds an air of sneakiness and extreme upper-register clarinet before incorporating an extended oboe technique, and Of Chaotic Invention rips through to the end with virtuosic solo moments and call-backs to the first two movements before ending on a delightfully squealing chord. Lasting approximately four and a half minutes in total (~4:30 min.), Unexpected Amusements Facilitating Hijinks of Chaotic Invention is tonal despite its chromaticism and extended instrumental techniques, and it encourages acting at a couple points (which the performers can expand upon or ignore as desired). It is appropriate for a wide variety of contexts, including concerts and competitions. This listing includes both the full score and all individual parts (one copy each) for all three movements. Kat Felicis Ioco is a composer, lyricist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist with a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Northwestern - St. Paul. Her works include classical/concert pieces and film scores; she is also a solo symphonic metal artist and an active performer. Visit katfelicisioco.com for full bio, credits list, and links.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.719521 Composed by Curtis Hanson. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 10 pages. Curtis Hanson #2032827. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719521). Nunc Dimittis is a concert setting of Simeon's expression upon seeing the child Jesus before his own death. Set for SATB chorus and organ (orchestral score and parts available separately), it begins in free chant before stating the text in the basses with an original melody. The optional middle section is based on Regina Fryxell's interpretation with permission of Augsburg Fortress. The piece concludes with a grand four-part restatement of the original melody followed by the Gloria Patri. Though perhaps best suited in a concert setting, it could also be sung liturgically, in full or in part, in a worship setting.

String Ensemble,String Trio - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.861852 Composed by Mark O'Connor. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk. Score and parts. 8 pages. Mark O'Connor Musik International #6203889. Published by Mark O'Connor Musik International (A0.861852). In The Summertime (cello – vln, vla, cel) MO167DCello Part (score and parts available)Music by Mark O’Connor4 pages - 6:00 minutes in length In The Summertime is comprised of two parts, with two distinct messages. The first speaks to the space of wonderment in our lives, where good friends and experiences surround us. A time spent looking forward to the continuing joy and merrymaking of the innocence and purpose that brought us together. We then travel to where agelessness ends, where innocence no longer lingers. The bitterness within a life that begins to be complicated where it wasn¹t before starts to overwhelm the sweetness on the tongue. Still, the B-section of the piece yearns backward and forward at the same time. Tugging at the memory of what came before to find and create meaning farther on.So many of us expect life to continue to deliver its many delights, without realizing that it was the innocence and freedom, the faith in the possible that created the delightful condition of youth. After a playful frolic with the instruments dancing about in the musical forest, the A and B parts return, reminding us that unlike time that moves ever forward, the journey back to the wonder and freedom of childhood awaits us all. Original music printed from the composer’s manuscripts.Music editing, copying and engraving by Mark O’Connorusing Finale on Apple Macintosh 2006 Composed by Mark O’ConnorThe accompanying MP3 is of Mark O’Connor’s Appalachia Waltz Trio (touring ensemble) with Becca Albers and Mike Block, performing live in 2007 at the Aspen Music Festival. Catalogue Number MO167DCopyright © 2006 by Mark O’Connor Music InternationalFor more information on violinist and composer Mark O'Connor, O’Connor String Camps, Touring Ensembles, Discography, Bio, Repertoire and more, please visitwww.markoconnor.com For information on the O’Connor Method – instructional book series for violin, viola, cello and school string orchestra programs:www.oconnormethod.com

Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1457364 By Celine Dion. By James Horner and Will Jennings. Arranged by Homco/Crinion. Contemporary,Film/TV,Pop,Wedding. 3 pages. Homco/Crinion #1036398. Published by Homco/Crinion (A0.1457364). My Heart WIll Go On is the theme for the 1997 film Titanic. It was originally composed by James Horner as an instrumental motif for the film soundtrack before lyrics were added by lyricist Will Jennings and before Celine Dion was enlisted to record the vocals that would become her signature song. This String Duo arrangement brings us back to the initial instrumental vision. It is a very stripped-down, simple version of the hauntingly beautiful melody. The cello adds harmonics at the beginning and at the end for a very ethereal effect that will go on and on..

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495481 By Damien Gauci. By Damien Gauci. Classical,Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Damien Gauci #1071998. Published by Damien Gauci (A0.1495481). Whiskers now begins on his curious adventure into the unknown. He begins carefully stepping through the forest with caution into unfamiliar territory, his ear pricked to listen out for any sounds that might be someone or something else. As he makes his way through the forest looking for something to explore, the wind begins to pick up. The trees move in the wind and the leaves rustle and fly around Whiskers which causes him to panic. As the piece moves to a more active section with the use of semiquavers, Whiskers begins to run further into the forest, losing his sense of direction from the confusion caused by the wind and all the leaves about. Whiskers frantically tries to find his way back home but the wind grows stronger blowing more leaves around which makes it even harder to see where he’s going.Eventually the leaves settle back on the ground as the wind dies down and comes to a rest. Whiskers has stumbled across something he has never seen before in this forest, a house. It looks abandoned and like someone used to live there many decades ago. He stops in his tracks to take a good long look at the mysterious looking house that towers before him.

Flute Duet Flute - Digital Download SKU: A0.1396086 Composed by Grant Horsley. Classical,Contest,Festival,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 17 pages. Grant Horsley #979469. Published by Grant Horsley (A0.1396086). A barcarolle is a traditional folk song sung by Venetian gondoliers, characterized by a rhythm reminiscent of the gondolier's stroke, almost invariably in 6/8 meter at a moderate tempo. or an instrumental piece composed in the same classical style. This modern Barcarolle, is a soft lilting Barcarolle in 6/8 time. It is in concert E flat major and in ternary form. After a gentle introduction the main theme begins with the instruments sharing the melodic line before eventually harmonising. These outer sections provide a lilting, rocking type mood to set the character of the piece. The middle section by contrast, has a lot more movement for variety but keeps within the style of the Barcarolle. On return of the main theme once more the piano takes the melody with small embellishments by the individual parts before a gentle conclusion. It is around 5 minutes long. The Youtube link has the full score for you to assess suitability. Ideal for concerts, recitals, festivals, competitions, etcPrice is for the full score and parts.

Snowball.Text:Shouldst Not the Heavens Weep?“ . . . for He loveth the world . . .â€Â  (2 Nephi 26:24)In a striking prophecy and opened to his view,Enoch saw mortality as a glorious truth.Curtains of creation birthed God’s pure holy race.Yet what Enoch saw were tears on His saddened face. How is it that Thou canst weep? Thou art God of all!All eternity is thine . . . this thy sacred call.Mercy goes before thy eyes, truth before thy throne. How is it that Thou canst weep? All thy worlds are known.Of my soul pure children came, from my very hands.I gave mankind agency so all love could stand. But, behold, their sins I see; mis’ry is their doom.Seeing some shall suffer much, my heart feels entombed.Shouldest not the heavens weep for these ofmy own?Suff’ring for each child of mine, I for them atoned.Tears that fall are for their souls; these must suffer too.If they choose not to repent, my love seems untrue.Chorus:Shouldst not the heavens weep? God gave life to all.Shouldst not the heavens weep? His love covers all.

Fl. Fl. Afl. BFl. - Intermediate-Advanced - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM536 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Robert Rainford. Mixed Flute Quartet, 2 Concert Flutes, Alto Flute, Bass Flute. Score and parts. 85 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM536. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM536). ISBN 9790570484355.This quartet was composed during Dvorak's time in America, during a summer vacation in 1893. It was written in Spillville, Iowa, which at the time was home to a large Czech immigrant community. Dvorak seems to have found the natural country surroundings much more to his liking, having spent much of his previous time in the country in New York. The work was written very quickly, being sketched in three days and finished in about two weeks. In this quartet, Dvorak finally seems to find a balance between his melodic invention and a clear structure. Many writers have tried to find specific 'American' features in this work - from pentatonic melodies to native Indian tunes to American birdsong - but in general such specific references are doubted. The first movement moves from passages of great harmonic stillness through a much more dramatic development section that takes the music through fugato section before recapping the original material. The second movement features a simple, pentatonic melody over a pulsing accompaniment. This melody is shared between the highest and lowest parts, before being developed in an extended middle section until the bass flute restates the original tune while the accompaniment thins out completely. The third movement is a variant of a traditional scherzo. It features two tunes, the main melody being a sprightly tune full of off-beats and cross-rhythms. The alternate melody is actually a variant of the main scherzo theme, but in a minor key and at half tempo. The final movement is in a traditional rondo form. The main melody is once more pentatonic, the B section is more lyrical, and the C section is a chorale theme.

Jazz Ensemble Jazz Ensemble - Digital Download SKU: A0.947269 Composed by John Philips. Jazz. Score and parts. 15 pages. John Philips Music Service #3867635. Published by John Philips Music Service (A0.947269). Set the tempo for about 90. This is a trumpet/fluegelhorn feature ballad that requires a strong lyrical soloist that can play in tune. It is very pretty, not difficult but must be played as is to work. First chorus is solo, second chorus first half ensemble, bridge is trumpet solo in front of brass section, last 8 modulates up for a big finish. Appropriate for a working band or a good high school or college band. Dedicated to Randy Brooks. Solo part has more than eighth notes but tempo is slow.If you want a Maynard or Buddy chart, look elsewhere. This series of charts uses nothing more complicated than eighth notes, are not frantic or screamers, extreme ranges and are hemi-demi-semi-quaver free. They depend on intonation and the players being not intimidated by what he is asked to play. There is no contest to see how high you can go before you need oxygen , how many notes you can play in 9 seconds or before your bell overheats , or how long it takes the audience to cover their earsRelaxed and confident players always play more in tune. Good harmonies, lines and realistic rhythm patterns will produce a good result that will swing and be enjoyed by player and listener alike.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.869365 Composed by Thomas Oboe Lee. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Latin,Romantic Period. Score and parts. 102 pages. Thomas Oboe Lee #29655. Published by Thomas Oboe Lee (A0.869365). Instrumentation: 2222-4321-2perc-pf-strings. When Andrea Bates, executive director of the Brockton Symphony Orchestra, first told me that the Brockton Symphony had commissioned me to write a new work to be premiered in 2003-2004, I immediately thought that since its music director, Jonathan Cohler, is a marvelous clarinetist I would be most attracted to the idea of writing a clarinet concerto for the occasion. Both Andrea and Jonathan were very receptive and enthusiastic about my idea. Andrea also told me that the commissioned work should somehow bring to attention the diverse cultures of the recent immigrants that have settled in the city of Brockton. So in the spring of 2003 I came down to Brockton for a meeting to which Andrea had invited representative members of these new communities. Three showed up: Maria Evora-Rosa, Rick Marrero and Fred Fontaine. Andrea had asked them to bring recordings of the music from their countries for me to listen to. There were CDs of very exciting and fun music from Cape Verde, Puerto Rico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Haiti. After spending months listening to the music from these countries, all of them islands in the Atlantic or the Caribbean, I slowly began to get a sense of the beauty and the magic of the musical style and language of each place, each individual island. The end result is a three-movement work for clarinet and orchestra. Unlike the traditional Concerto form which is Fast-Slow-Fast, this work begins with something slow. A fast number follows as a second movement; and then, after a short, slow interlude, another fast number appears. The first movement is my adaptation of the morna of Cape Verde – slow, melancholy and sad. The diva of the morna is Cesaria Evora. Her singing brings to mind a fusion between the African blues and the Portuguese fado. The second movement is my take on the merengue as performed by the inimitable Xavier Cugat. It is dance music through and through!!! The third movement is also a dance number: the ever-popular music from Haiti, the reggae. And in order to give some contrast between the two dance numbers, I added a slow chorale for clarinet and strings that serves as a prelude before the dancing begins in the final movement. I envision the chorale as a little church music before the people go out and dance the night away. Throughout the entire work, the solo clarinet is the principal voice … singing, dancing, and cavorting!!! Gotta dance!!! Have fun and enjoy the music!!! I surely did as I was working on it ….

Picc. 5 Fl. Afl. Bfl. (Cbfl) - Intermediate-Advanced - Digital Download SKU: F2.FM532 Composed by Tony Bridgewater. Flute Ensemble. Score and Parts. 138 pages. Forton Music - Digital #FM532. Published by Forton Music - Digital (F2.FM532). ISBN 9790570484317.Tony Bridgewater's 'Sonata for Flutes' was written in 2014-2015 for the UK based National Flute Orchestra, founded by Margaret Lowe in 2008, and was performed in Birmingham, England, conducted by the composer. It is in three movements. The first is based around lively, dancing 7/8 rhythms, with playful changes in metre, and ideas thrown between the instruments in a busy texture. There is a slow, reflective middle section, much more serious in tone, featuring various flute solos. This gradually returns to the opening ideas of the movement in an abbreviated reprise, before the music ends, fading away into the distance, on the dancing rhythm of the opening. The second movement is slow, and suggests a misty dawn landscape with its spare, calm texture. This is followed by a series of lonely solo flute melodies which gradually combine and build up into a rich, imitative texture. Tension and dissonance builds, but at the climax a solemn, low melody on bass and alto flute returns the music to a reprise of the first section, which ends very quietly and mysteriously. The rousing final movement returns to the joyful dancing rhythms of the first, now based around 10/8 time. It is a rondo, with many playful variations of the returning theme shared between all of the flutes at each appearance, while contrasting episodes are a little more relaxed and lyrical. A final coda briefly reprises motifs from earlier in the piece, before building to an exciting conclusion.
