Here's Benny Golson's timeless composition, Whisper Not, reimagined by Kenny Werner and Alan Baylock. Originally arranged for Rosanna Vitro, the work took on new life with Alan's big band orchestration, which has been performed by the USAF Airmen of Note and the UNT One O'Clock Lab Band. There's solo space for Alto 1, and the vocalist is a vital part of an ambitious soli, in addition to singing Leonard Feather's thoughtful lyrics.
