The song was republished in 1932 in the News-Chronicle Music for the Home, a collection of popular classical pieces edited by the composer. As a champion of musical performance, Landon Ronald intended this volume to encourage home music-making. The habit of listening to music instead of performing it...is so deeply to be deplored he wrote in the preface. It is up to all music-lovers to do what they can to prevent it from spreading...
