Vivace For Violin And Hornfor the 2018 Chamber Music Contest Entry I was so impressed while listening to some of the wonderful recordings of Elmira Darvarova on the violin and Howard Wall on the Horn.  It inspired me to finish a duet that toke birth back in the times when I started playing violin.  Now after 40 years I guess it is ready!!! I am very grateful for their inspiration. It is dedicated to - „Elmira and Howard The piece requires high skilled and experienced artists. I have used some interpretation symbols to suggest an interpretation and of course I tried to manipulate the audio file. I did very little Bowing. I prefer to leave it to your own interpretation, creativity, or school demands or preferences. Feel free to experience your own bowing and interpretation. Remember that as an artist you can perform as it pleases you better.  The score was written on Finale.  The sound file For the 2018 Chamber Music Contest Entry, was performed with samplers from Garritan and conceived as an audio support for the presentation of the score. This is one of my better piano compositions, I really did enjoy experimenting with different themes and ideas. I wrote this piece in about a week for a composition challenge in r/musictheory. The style of the composition is a Rag which is an early 20th century genre of music usually for piano that paved the way for blues and jazz. It features syncopated rhythms, colourful harmonies, usually a cheerful tone, and an “oompah” left hand pattern. It was really quite interesting writing in this style and I think it would be good to try it again.When I started writing this piece, I came up with the main theme of the piece first and then wrote the rest of the piece and at the end, I actually added the introduction. As for the other sections of the piece, it was difficult to come up with something that fits the same theme and style but also make it different so that it is interesting for the listener. My favourite section is probably the last one with the descending chromatic scales. I think there is a good build up and release of tension at the end of the piece as well.

So I took his own notes and orchestrated them. Except for a few bars, this arrangement is a faithful transcription of the first two minutes of his guitar part. Long Road to Georgia is a simple trad jazz tune, written at a time when I felt a longing to be back home (which isn't Georgia, that just had a better ring to it than my actual home).Do check out the recording for a mock-up rendition. The strings are improvised and aren't necessary, but make the song sound a bit sweeter. The last play-through of the tune in the recording is done with other instruments improvising around the tune for a proper Dixieland feel. I wholeheartedly recommend this - it adds so much to the overall feel if you've got other instruments noodling around. The slow, simple chord progression makes this a really good tune for people who are newer to jazz & improvisation.
