Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.998289 Composed by Kyle McKinzey. Contemporary,Contest,Festival. Score and parts. 69 pages. KyleMac Music #6323119. Published by KyleMac Music (A0.998289). Exciting piece with instrument ranges for a 2nd-year player. I have rated it as a Grade 1 though it was originally a Grade 1. The length and the number of percussion required earn it the higher level. Some rhythms and percussion are more advanced allowing for a bigger sound. Clarinets and Trumpets are split to allow for younger players. Low brass and woodwinds are mostly in unison. Percussion has a lot of parts but can be played with a small section as well. As the director, you have a lot of options to get that big sound that fits your band.

Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1152788 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 44 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #753026. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1152788). This is the ninth volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 9 (Songs 217-243)Crystal Spring (The)Cuckoo (the)Cumha MhicCupid’s GardenCutting Down the PinesDabbling in the DewDance to your DaddyDarby KellyDashing Away With the Smoothing IronDashing White Sergeant (the) continue hereDavy LowstonDean CadalanDeath and the LadyDeath of Admiral Benbow (the)Death of Queen Jane (the)Derby Ram (the)DerwentwaterDerwentwater’s FarewellDeserter (the) version ADeserter (the) version BDevil and the Farmer’s Wife (the)Dewy Dells of Yarrow (the)DiademDialogue between Jacob and Esau (A)Dicky of Tauton DeneDidn’t My Lord Deliver DanielDigger’s Song (the).

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1294153 Composed by James Horner. Arranged by Elizabeth Shier & Dana Thynes. 20th Century,Celtic,Film/TV,Irish. Score. 5 pages. Dana Thynes #884577. Published by Dana Thynes (A0.1294153). BRAVEHEART THEME for piano, in the key of GbThe main theme of Braveheart begins with soft flute-like melody notes against a quiet background.  A fragment of the Scottish tune Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair weaves its way into the bottom of page one, and then deep chords at the top of page two give a low and ominous premonition of battle.  Slowly it builds with bigger chords.  Dissonances compete in the melody and harmony, always building.  Big octave-plus-fifth left hand chords give a medieval sound. The flavor of Braveheart, the movie, is captured in this arrangement.  Not too difficult, but with a few challenges, this is a satisfying piece to play over and over again, emotions soaring and always feeling like you are there with William Wallace in the fight for FREEDOM.Two versions in different keys (F & Gb), but otherwise identical.  The arrangement in F is much easier, of course, and easier to read.  Though most of the music remains in the primary key (either F or Gb) Braveheart travels rapidly through several key transitions on pages 2-3 in the key of F, and pages 2-4 in the key of Gb.Though the key of F is easier, the key of Gb seems to have a special magic, as piano pieces utilizing the black keys frequently do!  The piano recording heard in the video is performed in the key of Gb.

Guitar Ensemble Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.797809 By Bananarama. By James Young and Sy Oliver. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Contemporary. Score and parts. 23 pages. Derek Hasted #6205715. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.797809). T'AINT WHAT YOU DO - 5 GUITARS/LARGE ENSEMBLEFor Classical or Acoustic Guitar - sometimes it's erroneously listed here as Electric Guitar.Derek Hasted writes This arrangement was inspired by the Bananarama & Fun Boy Three release, but in a nod to the fact that this piece was written many years before it was re-worked, I’ve taken it back still further in time, and the piece begins slowly and stately, like a Pavane, before moving to a busy Madrigal and finally to Big Band Shuffle. The piece suits 5 guitars, but a large ensemble will, of course, make a bigger and more compelling sound. It is ideal for a mixed ability group - the lower parts can all be played in first position whereas the upper parts go as high as the ninth position. This arrangement is based on a version that was played in concert by the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra - it’s pretty much guaranteed to get feet tapping in the audience...I hope you enjoy this piece!

Flute Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1515510 Composed by Jose Luis Arellano Jr. Arranged by Jose Luis Arellano Jr. 21st Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 4 pages. Arellano, Jose Luis Jr #1089863. Published by Arellano, Jose Luis Jr (A0.1515510). Wooded Blur was based on the ideas of an impressionist style painting that if you take a closer look at a piece art you could only see blurriness. However, if you took a step back you could see the whole context. The main idea that you hear in the piece is the “closer look” that is so blurred that you don’tunderstand the context until you see the big picture. You hear this repeating pattern (the main idea) becoming home and the root of this atonal piece. The variation around thismain idea becomes the context and helps create the bigger picture. It allows youas the listener to see the character of the piece. The piece is the forest itself who isplayful, a trickster, and a guardian of his own home. The sections that take you on this strangejourney will give you glimpses of imagery that you can picture that gets you involved.Building you a perception of this Wooded Blur.
