Acoustic Guitar,Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1160107 Composed by Traditional/Anonymous. Arranged by Socrates Arvanitakis. Classical,Early Music,Folk,Traditional. Individual part. 39 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #760384. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1160107). This is the twenty-second volume of an extensive collection of folk songs arranged for the classical guitar mostly in two-part counterpoint. The arrangements are of moderate difficulty and the aims of this publication are to familiarise, entertain and educate guitarists (and other musicians) with a melodic repertoire of lasting aesthetic value, under the light of contrapuntal treatment. The thirty five volumes of this collection can certainly be printed on paper if so desired and there are a few pages in each volume, either blank or with photographs of various musicians, which can be inserted at will in any place for the correct ordering of left and right hand pages so that page turns can be avoided. The principle of avoiding page turns has been maintained in all  volumes, but this edition is also designed with mobile electronic devices in mind such as tablets etc, using the environment and facilities of a score reading application, towards a paperless world, at least in music. Therefore the size of the staves is bigger than usual for ease of reading on a small screen but not big enough to exceed the limit of a two-page view. Active internal links for navigating from thematic indexes to particular songs and back to indexes have been added, and also external internet links to sites that give further information for the 945 songs of this first collection for classical guitar.Volume 22 (Songs 568-594)Low Down in the BroomLow, Low Lands of Holland (the)LowlandsLowlands LowLoyal Lover (the)Lulle LullayLyke Wake DirgeMaa Bonny LadMaggie LauderMaid of Australia (the)Maid of the Mill (the)Maid of Tottenham (the)Mallow FlingMango WalkMaranoa LullabyMaria MartenMarrowbonesMary Ann 1Mary Ann 2Mary Had a BabyMary HamiltonMatthy GrovesMaw Canny HinnyMay Day CarolMcPherson’s RantMen of HarlechMen’s Clothes I Will Put On

Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1410576 By Caetano Velosa. By Edward Eiscu, Gus Kahn, and Vincent Youmens. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Folk,Pop. 9 pages. Peet du Toit #992996. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1410576). (The) Carioca is a 1933 popular song with music by Vincent Youmans and lyrics by Edward Eliscu and Gus Kahn, as well as the name of the dance choreographed to it for the 1933 film Flying Down to Rio. It was sung in the film by Alice Gentle, Movita Castaneda and Etta Moten and danced by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers as part of an extended production dance number illustrating the ballroom dance. The dance, which was choreographed by the film's dance director, Dave Gould, assisted by Hermes Pan, was based on an earlier stage dance with the same name by Fanchon and Marco. The word Carioca refers to inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro.Astaire and Roger's short dance has historical significance, as it was their first screen dance together. Though billed fourth and fifth, many felt they stole the film, which became a big hit for RKO. The song was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song at the 7th Academy Awards, but lost to an even bigger Astaire and Rogers production number, The Continental from The Gay Divorcee (1934), their next film together and their first starring vehicle. They were billed by RKO as The King and Queen of 'The Carioca.'While the song has become a jazz standard, the dance did not have longevity. Following the success of Flying Down to Rio, an attempt was made to propagate it as a new ballroom dance, without much success. It was a mixture of samba, maxixe, foxtrot and rhumba. The distinctive feature of the dance â?? at least as portrayed in the movie â?? was that it was to be danced with the partners' foreheads touching.A French cover of the song was introduced in the comedy movie La Cité de la Peur (1994) along with a dance, also meant in a humoristic way. Both the song and the dance appear in the film that takes place in Cannes during the Cannes film festival in France, and have become a reference for a whole generation in France. 25 years later, in May 2019, the Carioca scene of the movie was celebrated in Cannes with a flashmob dance and by the actors themselves who danced again the mythic scene included in La Cité de la Peur.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1294155 Composed by James Horner. Arranged by Elizabeth Shier & Dana Thynes. 20th Century,Celtic,Film/TV,Irish. Score. 5 pages. Dana Thynes #884580. Published by Dana Thynes (A0.1294155). BRAVEHEART THEME for piano, in the key of FThe main theme of Braveheart begins with soft flute-like melody notes against a quiet background.  A fragment of the Scottish tune Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair weaves its way into the bottom of page one, and then deep chords at the top of page two give a low and ominous premonition of battle. Slowly it builds with bigger chords.  Dissonances compete in the melody and harmony, always building.  Big octave-plus-fifth left hand chords give a medieval sound. The flavor of Braveheart, the movie, is captured in this arrangement.  Not too difficult, but with a few challenges, this is a satisfying piece to play over and over again, emotions soaring and always feeling like you are there with William Wallace in the fight for FREEDOM.Two versions in different keys (F & Gb), but otherwise identical.  The arrangement in F is much easier, of course, and easier to read.  Though most of the music remains in the primary key (either F or Gb) Braveheart travels rapidly through several key transitions on pages 2-3 in the key of F, and pages 2-4 in the key of Gb.Though the key of F is easier, the key of Gb seems to have a special magic, as piano pieces utilizing the black keys frequently do!  The piano recording heard in the video is performed in the key of Gb.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.998289 Composed by Kyle McKinzey. Contemporary,Contest,Festival. Score and parts. 69 pages. KyleMac Music #6323119. Published by KyleMac Music (A0.998289). Exciting piece with instrument ranges for a 2nd-year player. I have rated it as a Grade 1 though it was originally a Grade 1. The length and the number of percussion required earn it the higher level. Some rhythms and percussion are more advanced allowing for a bigger sound. Clarinets and Trumpets are split to allow for younger players. Low brass and woodwinds are mostly in unison. Percussion has a lot of parts but can be played with a small section as well. As the director, you have a lot of options to get that big sound that fits your band.
