It makes a wonderful item for a concert, with a Rondo form and a spirited feel that’s easy to lock together.The TV show has tried different versions over the years, including one by Mike Oldfield, but my arrangement is based the full-length version as played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.I’ve changed the key to D major so that everything fits on the neck of the guitar and uses familiar notes.Guitar 4 is tuned to 6=D to add more depth. An alternative Guitar 4 part in bass clef is also supplied, and here normal tuning is used.The original theme is fast. To be honest, it’s very fast indeed.
