TTBB divisi chorus and solo voices - Digital Download SKU: BJ.1383 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Sofia Söderberg. Sacred, Secular. Octavo. 12 pages. Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital #1383. Published by Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital (BJ.1383). 8.27 x 11.7 inches. My interpretation of Harlig ar jorden - originally composed for the male voice choir Svanholm Singers - is a tribute to nature and to life. But it is also a reminder of the increasingly apparent threats and challenges posed by climate change. The piece consists of three different musical and lyrical themes: Theme no. 1 is Harlig ar jorden, a beloved hymn sung in Scandinavia. The second theme consists of quotes from an acclaimed 1854 speech made by Chief Seattle to Governor Isaac Ingalls Stevens that I set to music, a compelling plea to respect the rights of indigenous peoples and a well-formulated reminder that human beings are a part of nature, they are not its masters. The third theme is a fragment from a Swedish funeral prayer. - Sofia SoderbergThere is also a version for mixed choir available.

SATB chorus and violin & double bass - Digital Download SKU: BJ.1245 Composed by Anders Jormin. Secular. Octavo. 12 pages. Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital #1245. Published by Bo Ejeby Forlag - Digital (BJ.1245). 8.27 x 11.7 inches.Radius solaris, descendit ut pluvia ... Sunbeams fall - as if they were rain. You, who received the blessing that abides within, make the world beautiful for all God's children. The Latin lyrics used in Radius solaris stem from an old, less-used version of Ave maris stella, an essential prayer in the Catholic church. The composition honours medieval vocal music as well as the later passacaglia form. The solo part, notated here for the violin, can also be played by a clarinet, an alto flute, a cello or an English horn. The piece can also be performed without an instrumental solo. - Anders Jormin Radius solaris is recorded by the Polish choir Camerata Silesia and Anders Jormin: Ama, Footprint Records FRCD 094.
