This ballad by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell was a hit for The Hollies in 1969 and has been recorded by many other artists including Neil Diamond, The Osmonds and Rufus Wainwright (for the film Zoolander). It is a really well-known melody which many audiences would appreciate.

Here is it arranged for Trombone Quartet and parts are provided in alternative transpositions for brass band or orchestral players.

This is a TTBB choral arrangement based on The Hollies performance. It has 4 to 6-part vocal harmonies, and comes with accompaniment for piano and a harmonica solo.   Other instruments could be substituted.   Feel free to add some ad-lib percussion and/or a bass line that follows the bass in the piano. It was arranged for and performed by The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles in 2008 as part of their songs-from-the-70s concert, Free To Be You and Me.
