My idea was to write a set of short pieces (each part to fit on one or two pages) for beginner guitar ensemble, with a gradual increase in demand, but always accessable for a beginner ensemble. This movement was written in Native American style. Performance time is 2 minutes. The suite was originally scored for classical guitar duet, but this version is expanded for classical guitar, string orchestra and percussion. The percussion requires a large drum (or timpani), glockenspiel, guiro and wind chimes. This download contains all parts. Full score is available separately. Performance time is 17 minutes. Each movement, however, works well as a stand alone concert piece. Individual movement titles are: Angel of Shavano, Tie Hacks, Hanging Tree, and Grave of Charlie Reynolds. The level of demand for the performers is intermediate to advanced.
