The Funeral Music contains two motives which build towards an incredible climax. This musical eulogy for Wagner's tragic hero is one of the finest in all of the repertoire and is a thrill to perform.

Mr. Sauer has beautifully arranged this 9-minute masterpiece for a large 14-part brass ensemble with Timpani and Percussion appropriate for advanced performers.

Mascagni's opera Cavalleria Rusticana is considered one of the great masterpieces of the repertoire. It was first premiered in 1893 and since, has become one of the most popular operas. Often it is paired with Pagliacci by Leoncavallo in a so-called Cav/Pag double bill.

Vikentios Gionanidis has brilliantly arranged the intensely romantic Intermezzo from the opera for 10-part Brass Ensemble suitable for moderately advanced performers.
