By Andrea Bocelli, Bryn Terfel. By Georges Bizet. Arranged by John Ivor Holland. 19th Century,20th Century,Classical,Film/TV,Opera. 81 pages. John Ivor Holland #968445. Published by John Ivor Holland (A0.1384083).

Au fond du temple saint (Deep inside the sacred temple) is a duet from Georges Bizet's 1863 opera 'Les pêcheurs de perles' ('The Pearl Fishers'). The libretto was written by Eugène Cormon and Michel Carré. Generally known as The Pearl Fishers' Duet, it is one of the most popular numbers in Western opera – it appeared on seven of the Classic 100 Countdowns conducted by ABC Classic FM. It is sung by Nadir (tenor) and Zurga (baritone) in act 1 and has been performed by many famous singers, including Andrea Bocelli and Bryn Terfel. This arrangement for two euphoniums and concert band retains the original key and recitative sections to present the most authentic version possible.

Composed by Charlie Skarbek and Joseph Shabalala. Arranged by Kirstie Smith. 20th Century,Film/TV,Historic,Multicultural,Spiritual,World. 7 pages. Kirstie Smith #1038431. Published by Kirstie Smith (A0.1459478).

In 1991 Charlie Skarbek was commissioned by World Rugby (then the International Rugby Football Board (IRFB)) to produce an anthem that encapsulated the spirit and values of the game. The resulting World in Union was first heard at the 1991 Rugby World Cup, held in England. In the first instance it was performed by New Zealand soprano Kiri Te Kanawa. The melody 'Thaxted' is taken from Gustav Holst's Jupiter, but the iconic tune is probably best known for it’s use in the hymn I Vow To Thee My Country.  PJ Powers and Ladysmith Black Mambazo produced a version in 1995, with Shirley Bassey and Bryn Terfel performing it at the 1999 Rugby World Cup opening ceremony.

This Male Voice Choir TTBB arrangement is perfect for a rousing performance at any venue, concert or event, sporting or otherwise!

A Beautiful and Haunting Traditional Welsh Song - with English lyrics

Myfanwy tells the tragic story of the unfulfilled love of a poor young poet for a beautiful young noblewoman who lived in Dinas Bran castle. The remains of the castle stand above the Welsh town of Llangollen and is the scene setting for the sad love story of Myfanwy. It was first published in 1875.

The song has featured in many films and television programmes and has been sung by almost, if not every single Welsh male voice choir. In modern times, it is still a favourite as sung by Cerys Mathews, and Bryn Terfel and is also sung without exception at every Welsh Rugby Union international in the National Stadium, Cardiff.

This arrangement for SSAA was requested by a singer in an English female vocal group. It was her Mother's favourite song. The lyrics have been translated to English although the original Welsh lyrics are shown on the last page. The melody is sung by Soprano 2.  Soprano 1 sings in harmony above the melody although joins the melody at the beginning of each verse.
