Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1345929 By The Smiths. By Johnny Marr and Steven Morrissey. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. 12 pages. Derek Hasted #930830. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1345929). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (The Smiths) - accessible piece for FLUTE and GUITARIntended for classical or acoustic guitar, though sometimes it gets listed erroneously under electric guitar. The guitar part is supplied in “Notation only†and “Notation + TABâ€Derek Hasted writes This song burst back into my consciousness when it was played as a Viennese Waltz in the BBC TV program “Strictly Come Dancingâ€.The ponderous, downbeat, original became light, inspiring, uplifting and very beautiful. Here’s the version that was on TV - the same key as the original but slightly shorter. The flute takes the tune, the guitar (with the bottom string tuned to D) takes the accompaniment. It’s ideal for an inexperienced duo - the tune, believe it or not, only uses 5 different notes! The use of 6=D tuning for the guitar dramatically reduces the number of barré chords and makes the guitar part much easier on the left hand.I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1510395 Composed by Bill Gaither and Gloria Gaither. Arranged by Mikhail Rimsky-Korsakov. Christian,Praise & Worship,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 32 pages. MRK Studio #1085584. Published by MRK Studio (A0.1510395). Because He Lives is a classic song (hymn) penned by one of the most lauded couples in Christian music, Bill and Gloria Gaither. This song explores how the resurrection of Christ transforms the lives of believers.   At this song's 50th anniversary, in honor of this legacy milestone, Gaither Music Group has initiated a yearlong celebration highlighting numerous performances of the song across many different platforms and genres. First released on October 18, 1971, this song was, and is, one of the most popular songs written by the Gospel Music Hall of Fame members.  “People have asked me, ‘Did you know right away that it was going to be a song that was going to be translated in other languages?’” stated Bill. “When you create a new song—and you write as many as we have–you really don’t know. Many times you write one and you think it is going to be the next ‘Amazing Grace,’ and it just dies a natural death. When we wrote ‘Because He Lives’ I felt like it was a good song, but you only find out how good a song is when people start responding to it, and the more we sang it the more people responded. I’m humbled it has been translated into so many languages and did not foresee that.”, he added.Read more here This song was commissioned by a South African Baritone Soloist, Johann Nefdt, to be performed by a Baritone Soloists, 2 Violins, Piano and Pipe Organ. String Quartet String Quartet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.749213 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by HELEN MARPLE-HORVAT. Christian,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Score and parts. 13 pages. Helen Marple-Horvat #3559035. Published by Helen Marple-Horvat (A0.749213). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qPdBFtww0Y I love carols in minor keys because there is so much scope for playing around with the harmony. I have re-arranged this carol for three violins instead of viola, as a flexible possibility. If you would like to watch a video of a professional quartet playing my arrangement on Youtube, look up my channel by typing Skinny Black Dogs, Capriccio Quartet, O Come Emmanuel. This version is almost identical, though Violin 3 sometimes goes up an octave and passes on the lower notes to the cellist who gets some double stopping! The quartet play it beautifully, but it could also be played by a very young quartet because most of the he double stopping includes one note on an open string. Grade 5 ABRSM could manage it, and possible Grade 3! It will sound mediaeval with the open strings ringing out. The key is a very easy one for strings. However there are a few surprises in the counting so watch out! It isn’t always obvious, but with a few rehearsals you will have a fresh take on a very old carol. It would be great for a string orchestra, or a quartet in an end of term carol service. If you perform it, take a video, even if on a phone, and send it to me on Facebook. I would love to see some young people enjoying it.

Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1392905 Composed by Jordan Morrison. 21st Century,Chamber,Contemporary,Instructional,Multicultural,World. 4 pages. Jordan Morrison Music #976431. Published by Jordan Morrison Music (A0.1392905). These two alternative notation duets are geared towards making a duo communicate, listen, flex their creativity, focus on sounds, and make artistic choices. You can read more below from the performance notes for the series but the highlights include: Choice of open instrumentation, choice of paper orientation, choice of rotation (clockwise or counter-clockwise), and choice of speed. More info below! The outside of the wheel connects to the events which are to be played upon an instrument capable of producing the written chords, while the inside wheel connects to the events which are to be played upon an instrument capable of the range and 3 timbres (open, muted, and either a harmonic of a multiphonic)***. This piece is meant to begin at whichever musical event the performers agree upon and rotate in a clockwise or counter-clockwise motion which is also determined and agreed upon by the performers. The orientation of the page is also left to the players discretion but must be agreed upon. When the lines connecting the musical events to the wheel are staggered around the wheel then each musical event must be played in full before the other performer starts his or her next event. When the lines are directly across from one and other the events are to be played simultaneously. The musical events must stay in the order in which they occur around the wheel. When two lines connect a single musical event to the wheel, that event is to be vamped(repeated) until the completion of the other player's event which occurs within that time. The moments of locking in time(both performers playing the selected notes in time with one another) are indicated by parentheses around one or more notes in two simultaneous events***. Accidentals only apply to the note indicated and do not carry through the event. Feel free to connect with me on Instagram @jordan.morrison.music.

Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1459257 By Josh Groban. By Brendan Graham and Rolf Lovland. Arranged by Homco/Crinion. Celtic,Folk,Irish,Praise & Worship,Wedding. 3 pages. Homco/Crinion #1038197. Published by Homco/Crinion (A0.1459257). This song was first composed in 2001 as an instrumental piece, and it wasn't until about a year later that an Irish novelist added the lyrics. That's why the music speaks so emotionally and provaocatively in and of itself - even without words. It is definitely Celtic-influenced music, but it wasn't until American up-and-coming singer Josh Groban recorded it in 2003 that it gained worldwide fame. In fact, Groban performed You Lift Me Up at Super Bowl XXXVIII and also at many national events of note. The Cello opens this Duo arrangement with the melody in the Irish-Tenor range. The Violin then plays it in the soprano register before re-stating it an octave higher -  like unto an Irish flute. The final reprise of the melancholy melody comes back one last time as a toned-down, soft-spoken voicing before a definitive cadence brings everything to a close.

Instrumental Duet Flute,Instrumental Duet,Voice - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.878846 Composed by David Banney. Christian,Contemporary,Jewish,Sacred. Score and parts. 15 pages. David Banney #6345451. Published by David Banney (A0.878846). In 2017 I was invited to compose music for two of Australia's most outstanding musicians - mezzo-soprano Jenny Duck-Chong, and flautist Sally Walker. The challenge of composing for a combination in which the range of the voice is lower than that of the instrument lead me to choose Psalms as texts. Neither part is really an accompaniment, but both parts feature as equals, and a model for the music was the notion of chanted Psalms with instrumental descant. The texts come form Psalms 137, 62 and 150.

Choral Choir,Choral,SAA Chorus - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1500643 By John Denver. By Bill Danoff, John Denver, and Taffy Nivert. Arranged by Stephanie Jayne Amies. Country,Folk,Pop. 20 pages. Stephanie Jayne Amies #1076730. Published by Stephanie Jayne Amies (A0.1500643). Lots of fun harmonies in this arrangement of a fantastic song. The song starts slow and powerful, so you can really enjoy those harmonies, before becoming more upbeat for the first verse. There is a chorus of a ccappella singing with optional body percussion (claps and stamps, but feel free to be more inventive!) This easy-intermediate level repeats the same harmonies in both verses, and has a Unison bridge to make learning a bit easier. If you're after something a little more complex, this is also available in SAA Intermediate (additional harmonies in verse 2 and bridge) and SSAB. This also works well transposed a tone up if needed. Please note the number of copies purchased is for the Piano Vocal OR the Vocal Score, not to duplicate the number of copies purchased.

B-Flat Trumpet Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1368479 By Goran Bregovic. By serbian folk song. Arranged by Zoran Radanovic. Folk,Patriotic,Standards,Traditional,Wedding. Individual part. 2 pages. Zoran Radanovic #952810. Published by Zoran Radanovic (A0.1368479). This arrangement is very famous serbian folk song for Bb trumpet solo. Ovaj aranzman je za solo Bb trubu.Ederlezi is a popular traditional folk song of the Romani people in the Balkans. The song got its name from Ederlezi, which is a festival[1] celebrating the return of springtime, especially by the Romani people of the Balkans, and elsewhere around the world. Ederlezi is the Romani name for the Feast of Saint George. It is celebrated on 6 May [O.S. 23 April] (occurring approximately 40 days after the spring equinox),[2]. The various Balkan spellings (Herdeljez, Erdelezi) are variants of the Turkish Hıdırellez. Versions The song is featured on Bijelo Dugme's 1988 album Ćiribiribela under the title ÄurÄ‘evdan (St. George's Day). Goran Bregović, the frontman of Bijelo Dugme, wrote the Serbo-Croatian lyrics. Bregović also recorded a version with Greek lyrics, titled Του Αη ΓιώÏγη (Tou Ai Giorgi, Saint George's), with Greek singer Alkistis Protopsalti in 1991.[3] The Greek lyrics are credited to Lina Nikolakopoulou. Bregović also worked with Turkish singer Sezen Aksu on her album titled Düğün ve Cenaze (A Wedding and a Funeral) featuring a version with Turkish lyrics, titled (Hıdrellez) in 1997. The lyrics were adapted by Aksu and Pakize Barışta. Finally, together with Polish singer Kayah he also recorded a version with Polish lyrics, titled Nie ma, nie ma ciebie. Bulgarian group Ku-Ku Band, with lead singer Slavi Trifonov, released the song on several albums with Bulgarian lyrics, titled Гергьовден (Gergyovden, St. George's Day); Serbo-Bulgarian lyrics, titled Свети Георги (Sveti Georgi, St. George); and Romani-Serbo-Bulgarian lyrics, titled Erdelezi. The band Beirut, Italian saxophonist Daniele Sepe, and the Boston-based band Bury Me Standing also do covers of Ederlezi. The Gypsy Rebels of Toronto, Ontario also cover the song, featuring the vocals of Micheal T. Butch and his band. Kroke released a version of the song as well. A Bosnian version was released by the folk-punk musical group No Smoking Orchestra on their 2007 album Time of the Gypsies, Punk Opera. A beatbox/trip version was released by French band Plume Tribu on their 2010 album Le Chainon Manquant. In popular culture Goran Bregović's version titled Ederlezi (Scena Djurdjevdana Na Rijeci) was famously used in Emir Kusturica's movie Time of the Gypsies.[1] It was performed by the Macedonian singer Vaska Jankovska.[4] Ederlezi (Scena Djurdjevdana Na Rijeci) also appeared in the movie Borat, although it has no connection to the authentic music of Kazakhstan. The text in brackets in Serbo-Croatian means: The scene of ÄurÄ‘evdan on the river, a description of a ÄurÄ‘evdan celebration on a river in the movie Time of the Gypsies where that song was used. Sacha Baron Cohen's movie does not have a ÄurÄ‘evdan river scene.[5][6] In both soundtrack albums – Time of the Gypsies and Stereophonic Musical Listenings That Have Been Origin in Moving Film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan – it was credited to Goran Bregović, although he is not the author nor the singer of the song on these albums. However, he arranged the song. A.I. Rising (2018), a Serbian science fiction film, was originally entitled Ederlezi Rising. A portion of Ederlezi (Scena Djurdjevdana Na Rijeci) was also featured in Lazy Square's (or Lenivko Kvadratjić) unofficial Russian art film reimagining of The Simpsons popular opening sequence couch gag.[7][8] Lyrics

Tuba Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.876676 Composed by Dosia McKay. Contemporary. Individual part. 5 pages. Gavia Music #6325317. Published by Gavia Music (A0.876676). When I originally spoke with Sande MacMorran, the tuba player for whom I composed the piece, we discussed the technicalities of the instrument; its optimal range, timbre, and articulation. Sande mentioned, in passing, that the rhythm of swing music is a natural fit for the instrument and even sang a few lines to give examples. In the following days, when I began to plan the new composition, I was surprised that the idea of playing ping-pong unexpectedly took hold of my mind and I couldn’t shake it off. At first, it seemed random and unrelated, but then, as I thought about the rhythmic patterns of the game, it all became clear. In ping-pong, the paddle hits the ball and then the ball hits the table in a pattern reminiscent of the rhythm of swing. While beginners tend to play slower, in triplets, the professionals, much faster, with the table note dotted or even double-dotted. Once I realized what my subconscious was trying to tell me, I listened to (not merely watched) several videos of ping-pong matches and discovered a wealth of entertaining rhythmic patterns. Thus the idea for this miniature tuba piece was born. While the tuba may seem a clumsy and awkward instrument, it is actually quite agile and flexible. It can perform many challenging melodic figures or quick jumps between registers, and it can certainly play ping-pong.Total duration: 1’25, suitable for advanced players.
