String Quartet String Quartet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.919579 By Colbie Caillat. By Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane. Arranged by Dylan Ellis. Jazz. Score and parts. 8 pages. Dylan Ellis #3859371. Published by Dylan Ellis (A0.919579). 2018 Holiday Contest EntryA nice string quartet arrangement of the holiday classic, with sprinkles of jazz harmony giving it a fresh sound while maintaining the classic tune. Perfect as a front-and-centre performance piece, or in the background of a function. Accidentals and high notes may be a hurdle, but it is fairly high-beginner/intermediate and will be playable for many people, including students. It will work for any event, due to its familiar sound yet spiced up voicings, with its 20th century and jazz flavour.

Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1345389 By The Smiths. By Johnny Marr and Steven Morrissey. Arranged by Derek Hasted. Pop. 14 pages. Derek Hasted #930328. Published by Derek Hasted (A0.1345389). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE (The Smiths) - accessible piece for 2 GUITARSIntended for classical guitar, though sometimes it gets listed erroneously under electric guitar. Both parts are supplied in “Notation only†and “Notation + TABâ€Derek Hasted writes This song burst back into my consciousness when it was played as a Viennese Waltz in the BBC TV program “Strictly Come Dancingâ€.The ponderous, downbeat, original became light, inspiring, uplifting and very beautiful. Here’s the version that was on TV - the same key as the original but slightly shorter. One guitar takes the tune, the other (with the bottom string tuned to D) takes the accompaniment - there is really no seamless way to swap roles partway through, so as well as a concert piece it’s an excellent Student/Teacher duet to teach some rhythms that are unexpected.I hope you enjoy playing this piece! This is one of a large and growing range of accessible ensembles from experienced arranger Derek Hasted, and is supplied as full score and parts. Derek's website at www.derek-hasted.co.uk/smp lists all his arrangements by title and by number of instruments, with links to soundclips and sample score.

Instrumental Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1351689 By Denissa Rivas. By Denissa Rivas. 21st Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 5 pages. Janice Malan #936518. Published by Janice Malan (A0.1351689). Mini Suite for Picc I had many ideas for a piccolo piece, but did not know how to tie them together. Then, while playing in a summer band, I heard several flute players say they don't like playing piccolo unless it is just for short passages. That gave me the idea of a suite with small movements where I could implement my musical ideas. Each movement in this mini suite is a little sample of what the piccolo can do: arpeggio passages, imitation of birds, sweet melodies, chromatic runs, and of course, super high notes while changing meter.

C Instrument - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.842476 By The Fray. By Isaac Slade and Joseph King. Arranged by Ben Clapton. Rock. Lead Sheet / Fake Book. 3 pages. Ben Clapton #4597303. Published by Ben Clapton (A0.842476). You Found Me was released by American rock band The Fray in 2008. It was their third single to sell 2 million downloads in the US, and marked The Fray's first number one hit in Australia. This is a lead sheet for the song, which has the melody and lyrics, and guitar chords. The song is written in B, and it has capo chords at capo 4 to utilise open chords. From Wikipedia:In an interview, lead singer and pianist Isaac Slade expressed his meaning behind the lyrics of the song:'You Found Me' is such a great song you should really listen to it. I love it as if it were my own child. The heart ache, the let down that comes with life. Sometimes you're let down, sometimes you're the one who lets someone else down. It gets hard to know who you can trust, who you can count on. This song came out of a tough time, and I'm still right in the thick of it. There's some difficult circumstances my family and friends have been going through over the past year or so and it can be overwhelming. It wears on me. It demands so much of my faith to keep believing, keep hoping in the unseen. Sometimes the tunnel has a light at the end, but usually they just look black as night. This song is about that feeling, and the hope that I still have, buried deep in my chest. In another interview Isaac Slade declared that:I kept getting these phone calls from home – tragedy after tragedy... If there is some kind of Person in charge of this planet – are they sleeping? Smoking? Where are they? I just imagined running into God standing on a street corner like Bruce Springsteen, smoking a cigarette, and I'd have it out with Him.In a Reuters article about the album, Slade stated that the lyrics for You Found Me were written in 2007, and that the song asks about the problem of evil, why bad things happen to good people, after some of their friends and family went through very tough times. Many others say that the song represents the reason we cope with things and how abandonment plays a role in everyday life.
