We discovered highly evocative folk music imbued with the winter spirit from around the world and had a wonderful time choosing just the right melodies to arrange as solo piano pieces. Amongst them are a Nordic reindeer call; a Joik (a hauntingly beautiful form of song from the Sami people of Lapland); an evocative Scottish winter song and an ancient flute melody celebrating the hardy plum blossom.
