I have created three variations based on the original piece. After a thick chordal introduction, the first variation places both hands up an octave in a 2/4 time scherzo with a slightly altered melodic rhythm and minim/half note blocked 7th chords in the LH. The second variation further changes the melodic rhythm to 3/4 time and elaborates the chordal harmony.
