Drea's Accordes is an arrangement of a solo guitar piece, Air in the Dorian Mode, from my set of Diatonic Pieces where no accidentals are employed other than in the key signature. The Air has a distinctive Renaissance character. The arrangement was created to serve as incidental music for a production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING by the Southern Shakespeare Company in Cascades Park in Tallahassee, FL in May of 2022. The title Drea's Accordes is in part a reference to my wife who played the violin part in that production, and in part a bit of word-play on Drewrie's Accordes, a quasi-famous Elizabethan lute duet. Cascading runs in the right hand, and sometimes both hands, accompany the outer two presentations of Gibbons’s haunting tune, often used for the communion text, Completed, Lord, the Holy Mysteries.  The middle section shifts the tune to right hand chords (with brief echoes of the Dies irae interpolated), while the left continues the energy driving the piece forward.  The cascades die away in the coda.  One of three communion tune settings, see Meditations on Adoro devote and on St. Keverne.

An arrangement for piano duet (4 hands, 1 piano) of the much loved David Bowie classic, Life on Mars.  The arrangement is in the traditional piano duet form of seperate pages for Primo and Secondo parts.  The tune is written in the lower stave of the Primo part, and is mainly played with the left hand, with the right hand providing embelishments between phrases.  The chorus is split between the Primo hands and includes cascades of notes imitating the string glissando of the original Bowie recording - quite tricky to work out, but great fun to play.  The Secondo part provides a flowing bass line, predominantly written in quavers (eighth notes). The Secondo part also has the guitar solo at the end of the choruses.  The words are included in both parts.
