I am a Romanian composer. This is my first musical album for piano solo (the 1st edition published in Romania, in 2012). This album addresses to (early) intermediate level piano players and contains 15 miniatures for piano solo. The melodies of these pieces also contain the harmonic lines so that to encourage improvisation and added/alternative guitar accompaniments.

The separate lead sheets for 10 of these pieces can also be found on my other album called: Multi-instrumental musical album - volume 1, edition I (lead sheets) (Album muzical poli-instrumental, volume 1, edition I) (Romanian language edition).

Jesus I Love You is a song about how I feel towards Jesus. I love Him not just for what He did for me but because He loves me and died on the cross for me. I know that He loves me too, so this is a love song to Him from me.

I particularly like this melody because it reminds me of the old Golden Era musicals.

        The context of the song The LORD is in His Holy Temple is often overlooked in singing this song. Worship in the OT is a rather noisy affair with instruments, singing, shouting, dancing, and public praise. In the Old Testament, quiet in the Temple of God is an ominous, frightening thing, because God’s judgment is to be pronounced! I Surrender All is paired here with The LORD is in His Holy Temple thinking back to Isaiah 6 where Isaiah’s reaction to encountering the presence of God is surrender to Him. Yielding to God is, not only the prerequisite for avoiding God’s judgment, it is the path to peace and joy.

        Without the doublestops of the violin part, the wind parts may not seem very challenging at first sight, but to play a beautiful legato with a full tone at piano and pianissimo (slowly, too) is much harder than it sounds. The phrasing and the intensity of the music is critical to the message of the piece. It will take considerable attention between the soloist and the pianist to communicate the moody rubato basic to the best performance of the arrangement.

Do You Hear What I Hear? was written in October 1962 with lyrics by Noël Regney and music by Gloria Shayne Baker. It has sold tens of millions of copies and has been covered by hundreds of different artists.

Regney was inspired to write the lyrics Said the night wind to the little lamb, 'Do you see what I see?' and Pray for peace, people everywhere, after watching babies being pushed in strollers on the sidewalks of New York City. Baker stated in an interview years later that neither could personally perform the entire song at the time they wrote it because of the emotions surrounding the Cuban Missile Crisis. Our little song broke us up. You must realize there was a threat of nuclear war at the time.

It was Bing Crosby who made the song a worldwide smash hit when he recorded his own version of Do You Hear What I Hear? in 1963, and over the years Crosby's recording of the song has received wide radio play, and been a cherished Christmas favorite.

I reckon we can make him pay by winning souls for Jesus. We can tell him to take a hike. We will be okay no matter what with Jesus looking after us.

This is a String Orchestra or String Quintet arrangement of the famous Dropkick Murphy's song I'm Shipping Up to Boston, originally written by Woody Guthrie.

If you look at The Meanest of Times album, and the Live on Landsdowne DVD, you'll see my name in the credits.  I used to work with the Murphy's, and I arranged string parts, recorded, and performed with them between 2006 and 2009.

You'll see some note heads with Xes in the cello and bass parts.  This is meant for chopping, but if the players aren't chopping yet, just have them hit something, because we need that backbeat!

I Will Give Thanks unto Thee is a happy little piece for an inexperienced SAB adult church choir. I composed it for our Thanksgiving Sunday service when our adult choir was just getting established. It is easy to learn and to sing as well as to play for the accompanist. The soprano range is C4 to E5; alto is A3 to E5; bass is C3 to E4. The duration is about 2:04. Although I wrote this piece specifically for Thanksgiving, because we are always to be giving thanks to Him, this composition is really suitable to almost any Christian worship service.
