Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1032967 Composed by Cecil Vineet Abhishek. Arranged by Cecil Vineet Abhishek. 20th Century,Contemporary,Romantic Period. Score. 7 pages. Cecil V Abhishek #5888313. Published by Cecil V Abhishek (A0.1032967). ‘December’ is a piano ballade in D minor, written in memory of the composer’s grandmother S Jayamma, who had passed away on the 10th of December 2019. This contemporary Nocturne starts off with an improvised recitative in F major, gradually establishing its rhythm and theme in D minor, the structure in its majority of which is reminiscent of some of W Beethoven’s Adagio-movements for solo piano. It then translates to a waltz in F major, and subsequently into A minor, before establishing the end with the introductory recitative. ‘December’ won Global Music Awards honors in the Contemporary Classical Music category in April 2020.
