Organ: 3-staff - Intermediate SKU: LO.70-1320S Short Improvisations in All Keys. Composed by Dale Wood. Sacred. Sacred Music Press #70/1320S. Published by Sacred Music Press (LO.70-1320S). UPC: 000308048834.These little interludes are designed for moments in the worship service when the organist is obliged to play short improvisations, yet feels improvisationally challenged. Whether the need is to cover the sound of shuffling feet as latecomers are seated or simply to establish a contemplative ambience, organists will find many uses for these short interludes in all keys. While some organ registrations and dynamic levels are suggested, the organist is advised to select stops that best suit the immediate moment of use. The majority of interludes in the service call for Flute or string celestas and other soft stops. A few of these pieces also present possibilities for using fuller or brighter combinations. It is hoped that this collection will serve well when there is a sudden need for the organist to provide (as a colleague so apply puts it)ecclesiastical traveling music.

Celesta,Instrumental Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.998860 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Instructional. Individual part. 6 pages. Robert A. Howard #6264815. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.998860). This second piece in the series of 'Mosaic' works is written for solo celesta. As in the other Mosaic pieces, a series of early, unrelated sketches were reworked to create this piece. Mosaic II is essentially a series of textural variations on the opening nine bar chord sequence and bass line. The unique timbre and register of the celesta is exploited, creating a mysterious and other-worldly atmosphere. The piece is highly accessible and is appropriate for most standards of celesta player, including students and advanced instrumentalists.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1042210 By Piotr Ilitch Tchaikovski. By Piotr Ilitch Tchaikovski. Arranged by Stepan Esipoff Edited. Contest,Festival,Film/TV,Instructional,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score. 8 pages. Flavio Regis Cunha #647014. Published by Flavio Regis Cunha (A0.1042210). The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is a dance for a ballerina. It is the third movement in The Nutcracker pas de deux. This pas de deux is from Act 2 of the 1892 ballet The Nutcracker. It is danced by the principal female dancer. The number was choreographed by Lev Ivanov to music written by Tchaikovsky. Choreographer Marius Petipa wanted the Sugar Plum Fairy's music to sound like drops of water shooting from a fountain. Tchaikovsky found the ideal instrument to do this job in Paris in 1891. It was then that he came across the recently invented celesta. This instrument looked like a piano. It sounded like bells. Tchaikovsky wrote, [The celesta is] midway between a tiny piano and a Glockenspiel, with a divinely wonderful sound. He wanted to use the celesta in The Nutcracker. He asked his publisher to buy one. He wanted to keep the purchase a secret. He did not want other Russian composers to get wind of it and ... use it for unusual effects before me. Tchaikovsky introduced the celesta to Russian music lovers on 19 March 1892 when the Nutcracker Suite was performed for the Russian Musical Society in St. Petersburg. The instrument is forever identified with the Sugar Plum Fairy. It is heard in other parts of Act 2 of The Nutcracker besides the Sugar Plum Fairy's dance.[3] The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is one of the ballet's best known musical numbers. It is often jazzed up for television commercials at Christmas time. This arrangement was written by Stepan Esipoff and Edited by FLAVIO REGIS CUNHA. Intermediate level Format: Concert 9 x 12 inches. 8 pages.

Celesta,Harpsichord,Instrumental Solo,Keyboard - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1289079 Composed by Paul Burnell. 21st Century,Classical,Contemporary. Individual part. 7 pages. Paul Burnell #879913. Published by Paul Burnell (A0.1289079). Three Short Turns, by Paul Burnell.  Composed 2023 for keyboard instrument - piano, toy piano, celesta, harpsichord etc.Where dynamics are not possible on the chosen keyboard instrument, other playing techniques may be used to achieve a suitable interpretation.Duration 3:00 approx.Programme noteThree Short Turns was composed simultaneously in versions for a music box, for recorder trio, and for a keyboard instrument such as piano, toy piano, or celesta. The piece was written after receiving a gift of a music box mechanism that could be 'programmed' by punching holes into a paper strip, in the manner of a player piano paper roll, and played by moving the strip through the mechanism by turning a small handle.  These features informed the range and spacing of the notes, and exploited the technique of interrupting the flow of the piece for pauses, and slowing or speeding tempo, by the way the handle is turned.  The piece was adapted in minor ways in the versions for recorder trio and keyboard.   Three movements were produced because the music box came with three identically-sized blank paper strips.

Large Ensemble Celesta,Cello,Clarinet,Double Bass,Flute,Guitar,Hand Percussion,Harp,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.942952 Composed by Aris Antoniades. Contemporary,Folk,World. Score and parts. 92 pages. Aris Antoniades #4996771. Published by Aris Antoniades (A0.942952). The Ritual - A Folk Fantasia (2015) for Chamber Ensemble Composed by Aris AntoniadesInstrumentation: Flute, Clarinet, Bendir, Guitar, Harp, Celesta, Violin, Violoncello, ContrabassRunning time: approx. 10'The Ritual is a fantasia based on Greek folk rhythms and idioms. The piece tries to musically depict the experience of a traveler who witnesses a pagan ritual. The strange ceremony takes place around a bonfire at a cold and distant mountain settlement. Masked people burst into a frenzy of dance and ecstatic priests pray to their gods. As the ritual progresses, the traveler’s mind becomes misty. Soon he transcends reality and enters a strange world-a world of dreams, a world of fantasy. There he discovers hidden spiritual treasures that will change his life forever. Finally, his spirit gets pulled back into his body while the natives continue their dance and end the ritual. The piece combines heterophonic dance elements (representing the secular part of the ritual) with strict contrapuntal writing, including a double canon (representing transcendence to the spiritual world).Cover Design - Dimitris I. Guitar,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.534485 Composed by Germaine Tailleferre. Arranged by Paul Wehage. 20th Century,Standards. Score and part. 58 pages. Musik Fabrik Music Publishing #3534811. Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.534485). The work is in four movements and is scored for 2011/1000 tymp/harp/celesta/strings and lasts aproximately 17 minutes. The work is more in the style of a concerto grosso than that of a virtuosic concerto, with the guitars frequently used in a solo group with the harp and celesta, which adds a very interesting orchestral colour. The writing is varied, ranging from a medieval cantilène style in the slow movement to free atonal sections in the second Scherzo movement and in the first movement. The work ends in a movement which sounds influenced by South American Popular music. Inspite of this apparent stylistic disparity, the composition remains extremely coherent and shows a great deal of energy and a kind of poetic strangeness.  This is the reduction for two guitars and piano.  The orchestral score is available for sale.  The parts are on rental from the publisher
