Cello,Instrumental Duet,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1409334 Composed by Socrates Arvanitakis. 21st Century,Classical,Traditional. 72 pages. Socrates Arvanitakis #991958. Published by Socrates Arvanitakis (A0.1409334). GENERAL PREFACE – ΓΕΝΙΚΟΣ ΠΡΟΛΟΓΟΣThis edition of violin and violoncello duets follows closely my publication of the same Greek folk pieces for classical guitar. The arrangements for guitar solo were written in two-part counterpoint and followed the strophic form of the folk songs involved. The melodic transcriptions of the folk melodies were not based in any particular performance, also avoiding the elaborate in many cases instrumental introductions associated with these songs. Thus, only the vocal melodies in a general recognizable version were presented. This new presentation for instrumental duets will stay with this generalised melodic version (without exploiting the instrumental introductions), but the form from strophic will become ternary (ABA). In the middle section the main melody will be played in the lower voice and the original guitar contrapuntal voice will be used in the upper voice if by chance it includes invertible counterpoint, otherwise new material will be added to fit the rules but also the intended harmony. The total collection is centred more on the music from mainland Greece and less in that from the Islands. The three dance rhythms of Kalamatianos (7/8), Tsamikos (3/4), and Syrtos Balos (2/4) are predominant in the whole first collection.TECHNICALSeparate parts have been included and they can be extracted as separate files with any free PDF editing programme on line.Empty pages have been added for inclusion/deletion at will and left-right hand page arrangement.Thematic Index with active internal links for ease of navigation have been added.Audio file (mp3) has been addedCONTENTS162 ΝΕΙΑΤΑ ΤΑ (Youth)163 ΝΕΡΑΤΖΟΥΛΑ (Little Bigarade Tree)164 ΝΕΡΟ ΚΑΙ ΚΡΥΑ ΒΡΥΣΗ (Water and Cold Fountain)165 ΝΕΤΑ Η (Neta)166 ΝΙΚΟΤΣΑΡΑΣ Ο (Nikotsaras)167 ΝΟΣΟΚΟΜΑ Η(The Nurse)168 ΝΟΣΤΑΛΓΙΑ (Nostalgia)169 ΝΥΦ' ΑΠΟ ΔΕΝΤΡΙ ΔΙΑΜΑΝΤΙ (Bride from a Diamond Tree)170 ΞΑΝΘΗ Η (The Blonde One)171 ΞΕΝΕ ΣΑ ΘΕΣ ΝΑ ΠΑΝΤΡΕΥΤΕΙΣ (Stranger, If You Want To Get Married)172 Ο ΓΙΑΝΟΣ ΚΙ' Η ΠΑΓΩΝΑ  (Johnny and Pagona)173 Ο ΚΟΣΜΟΣ ΜΕ ΤΑ ΒΑΣΑΝΑ (The World With Its Hardships)174 ΟΙ ΚΛΕΦΤΕΣ ΤΟΥ ΒΑΛΤΟΥ (The Klefts Of The Swamp)175 ΟΛΑ ΤΑ ΠΟΥΛΑΚΙΑ (All The Little Birds)176 ΟΤΑΝ ΠΕΡΝΑΣ ΓΙΑΤΙ... Chamber Orchestra Cello,Piano - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.760017 Composed by Edvard Grieg. Arranged by Raymond Fenech. Contest,Easter,Festival,Multicultural,Patriotic,Romantic Period,World. Score and part. 15 pages. Raymond Fenech #3481997. Published by Raymond Fenech (A0.760017). Peer Gynt, Op. 23 is the incidental music to Henrik Ibsen's 1867 play of the same name, written by the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg in 1875. It premiered along with the play on 24 February 1876 in Christiania (now Oslo). Later, in 1888 and 1891, Grieg extracted eight movements to make two four-movement suites: Suite No. 1, Op. 46, and Suite No. 2, Op. 55. Some of these movements have received coverage in popular culture; see Grieg's music in popular culture. This aria is arranged for Violoncello and Piano . The Duration is approx. 3.19 minutes and the level is Advanced Intermediate.

Cello Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.800215 Composed by Antonin Dvorak. Arranged by Samantha J Bramley - stringspirational@gmail.com. Classical,Romantic Period. Individual part. 10 pages. Samantha Bramley #6009463. Published by Samantha Bramley (A0.800215). Theme from ‘New World Symphony’ by Dvorak – 2nd Movement ‘Largo’ This is a six ‘cello version of the famous Largo theme from the second movement of Dvorak’s ‘New World Symphony.’ The duration of the arrangement is 3 and a half minutes, making it a nice encore or perfect for inclusion in a varied program. All parts are written in bass clef and none go above 4th position, making it ideal for a student ensemble. If played by a ‘cello orchestra (rather than 6 individual ‘cellists) the solo and tutti markings should be observed with dynamics varied accordingly. Keep Calm & Play Cello! Note from the arranger: All my arrangements for ‘cello quartet, quintet and sextet are conceived specifically with the range and technical capabilities of the ‘cello in mind – no simple transpositions or re-orchestrations of string quartet scores. They are therefore both easily playable and enjoyable by any intermediate to advanced ‘cello ensemble. Most parts do not go beyond 4th position, making them equally suitable for student, mixed ability groups or ‘cello choirs. A complete score and set of parts is included. Enjoy and feel free to email comments or request for other works to stringspirational@gmail.com or visit my website www.stringspirational.com to find out more.

Cellos - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1125668 Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Children,Instructional,Opera,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 66 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #726403. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1125668). The Twelve Original Pieces for Two Cellos, dedicated to beginners, Op. 63, by J. J. F. Dotzauer (1783—1860) is a most colourful collection, containing a spicy mix of arias from famous operas, original themes, and fugues. The arias are mostly from W. A. Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito, and G. Rossini’s Tancredi, with a theme and variation from The Magic Flute crowning them all. Even without employing the thumb, these pieces are challenging, and should not be underestimated. They explore all seven positions, making this the most well-rounded collection of the five (Opp. 52, 58, 156, 159), and a must-have for all cello students. This edition comes in two versions, Original & Collectors’ Edition. The Original version is available in either of the following variants: score only, parts only, and score & parts. It is based on the first edition published by Dotzauer at Breitkopf & Härtel in 1823. The Collector’s Edition adds the new edition of these pieces appeared in the 57 Little Duets compiled by Johannes Klingenberg (1852—1905), and in the early XX century edition by Alwin Schöder (1855—1928). Cellos - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1042144 Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Carl Hüllweck. Children,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 112 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #646942. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1042144). The Twenty-four Exercises for Two Cellos, Op. 159, by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer, continue and conclude the series dedicated to the neck positions. These, alongside the just published Twelve Original Pieces, Op. 58, cover the first four positions in all possible variations, using an incredible richness of forms, melody, harmony, and rhythm. After these thirty-six little gems, your students will be able to face much greater challenges with renewed strength and assertiveness. While Op. 58 focused mostly on Theme with Variations, Op. 159’s most used form is the rounded binary one, while no less than three full-fledged fugues enrich the practicing landscape. Due to the lack of the original manuscript, lost during Steiner & Bell’s acquisition of Augener & Co., this edition is based on two surviving editions, by Carl Hüllweck and Johannes Klingenberg, both published in the first decade of the XX century, about 40 years after Dotzauer’s passing. To provide you with the greatest flexibility and choice possibilities, this edition comes in several versions (only C available here, others available on Gumroad): - A: a score only one, based on Hüllweck; - B: two separate sets of parts, one per editor; - C: a score & parts bundle, based once more on Hüllweck; - D: finally, a Collector’s Edition, containing all this, plus a long chapter comparing all differences between Hüllweck’s and Klingenberg’s versions, and an interactive PDF where, at the press of a button, you will be able to switch to the other version of the current part! All PDFs have been optimised to be of the highest Press Quality and lightweight. I truly hope you are going to enjoy this beautiful music and that your cello playing will reach new heights thanks to it!

Cello Duet Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.591083 Composed by David McKeown. Blues,Easter,Pop,R & B,Rock. Score. 3 pages. David McKeown #6273793. Published by David McKeown (A0.591083). Easter Bunny Hop is a fun and original duet written by David McKeown for two Cellos. Easter Bunny Hop is one in a series of ten Easter-themed duets each written in a different Rock’n’Roll style. The Hop was all the craze in the late ‘50s, when early Rock’n’Roll became popular at school gymnasium dances. Danny and the Juniors’ 1957 hit At the Hop defined the genre.Easter Bunny Hop is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above, with the accessible key and range balanced by the fast tempo, some syncopated rhythms and many accidentals. With a playing-time of around one and a half minutes, Easter Bunny Hop is a perfect addition to any performance program, formal or informal. Cello Duet Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588499 Composed by David McKeown. Concert,Latin,Standards,World. Score. 4 pages. David McKeown #5728673. Published by David McKeown (A0.588499). Huapango de Hannah is an exciting original composition by David McKeown, arranged as a duet for two Cellos. The Huapango is a traditional Mexican style of music and dance, often mixing triple and duple metres. It is played on violin, accordion, and local 5-string variants of the guitar such as the vihuela, huapanguera and jarana. The Huapango rhythm famously inspired the song America in Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story. If you play to an intermediate standard and upwards, then you and your audience will enjoy this piece. The mixed metres, alternating between 6/8 and 3/4, will present a rhythmic challenge, while following the precise articulation in the score will help convey the dance style of the Huapango. Huapango de Hannah has a performance time of around two minutes. You can listen to the Clarinet version of this duet by following the YouTube link above. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

Cello Duet Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.591285 Composed by David McKeown. Easter,Latin,Pop,R & B,Rock. Score. 3 pages. David McKeown #6290899. Published by David McKeown (A0.591285). The Chocolate Chalypso is a fun and original duet written by David McKeown for two Cellos. Chocolate Chalypso is one in a series of ten Easter-themed duets each written in a different American dance style. In the late ‘50s just a handful of national TV shows in the US had a huge influence on the music and dance crazes of the time. Artists and dances came and went with dizzying speed. Chalypso was a short-lived craze in 1958 that combined the music of the new Rock’n’Roll with much-simplified steps borrowed from Cha Cha and Calypso; and no sooner had it caught on than it was itself supplanted by The Twist. Chocolate Chalypso is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above, with the accessible key and range balanced by some syncopated rhythms and accidentals. With a playing-time of around one and a half minutes, Chocolate Chalypso is a perfect upbeat addition to any performance program, formal or informal.
