Here is a unique duet arrangement (for CELLO solo with PIANO accompaniment) of the ever-popular holiday classic Jolly Old Saint Nicholas. The CELLO plays the melody for the first two verses and then for the third verse, the PIANO plays the melody while the CELLO adds broken-chord harmony. The first verse is flowing and legato in the key of C major, but then for the last two verses, it promptly transitions to the key of G major and a more upbeat rhythm with staccato.

All notes for the CELLO are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players.
