String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1281257 Composed by Carlos Gardel. Arranged by Charles Gunsaullus. 20th Century,Chamber,Film/TV,Jazz,Multicultural,World. 10 pages. Charles Gunsaullus #872601. Published by Charles Gunsaullus (A0.1281257). Here is one of the most popular tangos of all time.  Por una Cabeza (for one brain) has been used in film (Scent of a Woman, True Lies) and TV.  It has a playful G-major melody interrupted by a stout G-minor middle section.  If you can't have fun playing this piece, you might want to reconsider your musical life. This is for advanced players, especially the 1st violin.  For a less advanced violinist, you can ignore the 8va toward the end.  All parts are important, and all have their own tricky spots.

Published by C.E. Walz (A0.775902). When Grandma was a girl, she loved to play the piano in church, but she always had difficulty with the Gloria Patri and the Doxology. I promised I would create simplified versions one day and here they are!  The GLORIA PATRI comes in two versions:  Greatorex version in Eb and Meineke version in G. The DOXOLOGY comes in two versions both attributed to Louis Bourgeois so I call them Version One and Version Two, both in the key of G.These LATE ELEMENTARY pieces are written with the simple melody in the right hand and chords for left hand accompaniment.  Each is a page long, and the audio lets you hear each piece in the order mentioned here. Before you play, find out which versions your church sings, and I'll tell Grandma you said THANK YOU!  Gloria Patri by Henry Greatorex; Gloria Patri by Charles Meineke; Doxology Version One and Two by Louis Bourgeois.
