It stars Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Jason Robards and Claudia Cardinale. The film is the first installment in Leone's Once Upon a Time trilogy, followed by Duck, You Sucker! and Once Upon a Time in America, though the films do not share any characters in common. In 2009, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. The film is regarded as one of the greatest Westerns of all time and one of the greatest films of all time.The music was written by composer Ennio Morricone, Leone's regular collaborator, who wrote the score under Leone's direction before filming began. Published by Ayotte Custom Musical Engravings (A0.733027). Every genre of music has its one-hit wonders-composers or performers who are forever known for just one piece of music. In classical music, two composers come to mind: Johann Pachebel for his Canon in D and Emil Reznecek for his overture to Donna Diana. I am certain that they have written a lot more music, but we only know them for the above-mentioned works. The same is true in wind band music. The composer in question is one, Charles E. Duble. His one big hit is his circus march, Bravura. One of his lesser known marches is Wizard of the West. It was originally written in 1908 and dedicated To A. R. Wheeler, Musical Director, Howes Great London Shows. To this day, however, this occidental expert remains a mystery because he has not come out from behind the curtains. However, the western wizard does make his presence known in the euphonium section-especially in the trio.

Published by Mark Templeton Choral Music (A0.864424). The text of the Benedictus is taken from the final two phrases of the Sanctus, the fourth section of the Ordinary of the Mass. Composers have often set it independently from the Sanctus. This setting was originally composed for Selina Midkiff and the Appalachian Children’s Chorus in Charleston, West Virginia. The original consisted of only the two soprano parts from Choir 1 and Choir 2. I decided to compose alto, tenor, and bass parts for the first two sections, creating a double choir effect for the final section. Although it is scored for double choir one will find the individual parts easily accessible for any church, school, or community choir. The accompaniment can be played by organ, piano or string quartet.
