The lovely rippling triplet crotchets (quarter notes) under, over and around the melody in minims (half notes). Once you get your head around the rhythm, this is an easy and relaxing piece to play.

It has a simple scalar melody line with tight harmonies of 2nds. Time Signature is 5/4 with a short section in polymeter as it transitions to the 3/4 ending. (The rhythm is mostly quarter note/crotchets, so counting is not difficult; but you must count!). There are 3 verses plus an ending, and in each verse a different part takes the melody. A beautiful short choral piece to set the mood for either concert or service.

It is homophonic (the parts all move together.) Throughout it is easy crotchets (quarter notes). There are several dynamic markings to observe. There are some accidentals, mostly in the lowest 3rd part which often moves chromatically. This makes the the chord progression sometimes unpredictable and non-traditional so students must listen to tune well.

Dynamics and Expression are left to the performers discretion but I've suggested a few to get you started. Have fun!This arrangement is the main theme only which has been transposed in to the easier key of F major. The original version was also in 2/4 time and contained lots of semi and demi-semiquaver notation. This I have also simplified in to easier to read quavers and crotchets, 1/8 and 1/4 notes.To show the versatility of this arrangement you will hear pizzicato strings being added at the end of the preview to show how a keyboard performance could take advantage of is ability to layer multiple sounds.
