The text is so universal that I thought it would be a good challenge to set it in a way that was relevant to my current classmates and one that would be well received. It is an understated work in terms of length, but the message is nonetheless powerful and could serve well for your farewell concerts or graduations. The choir does split in parts but only for moments to give richness to certain chords and text. .

Delight the listeners with an optional countermelody in verse 4, and an a capella section in verse 5. The simple, intermediate level accompaniment compliments the text and supports the voices throughout the piece. The arrangement begins in an easy to play key of G, transposes to the lower key of F, and finishes with a broader, slower melody in the key of G. The voices remain at a comfortable range.
