The hymn tune is punctuated by the powerful dialogue from the Psalm: 'Who is the King of Glory' The Lord of hosts, He is the King of Glory!' This ties very well the Psalm ideas to Weissel's paraphrase, and then the closing stanza concludes with a personal response EUR to open the portals of one's heart. Another feature of the anthem s that the entire congregation can join in the singing at the appropriate places by either singing directly from the hymnal or by printing the words in a bulletin (permission is granted). The work can, of course, be used as an anthem, or as an elaborated congregational hymn in addition to another 'anthem' for the day.
