Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1079960 Composed by Latin American Folk Song. Arranged by Sarah Martinez. Children,Folk,Multicultural,Traditional,World. Octavo. 4 pages. Sarah Martinez #684181. Published by Sarah Martinez (A0.1079960). This arrangement of Alfonso XII has been adapted for SATB chorus (with optional divisi) and set to a piano accompaniment. This song tells a story about Alfonso XII, King of Spain from December 1874 until his death in November 1885. It is a song tale known in many Latin American countries. As is typical of folk songs, there are many popular variations and additional verses. Where are you going, Alfonso XII? Where are you going so sadly? I am looking for Mercedes because I lost her yesterday. Mercedes is already dead, and it's true because I saw her. Four dukes carried her through the streets of Madrid. The lanterns of the castle no longer want to light, Because Mercedes has died, and they are in mourning. Poor little Mercedes, she died like a flower. Similar arrangements for SAB, TB, 2-part, and unison choirs are also available. You may also find this song under the alternate title ¿Dónde vas, Alfonso Doce?.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.719521 Composed by Curtis Hanson. Christian,Sacred. Octavo. 10 pages. Curtis Hanson #2032827. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719521). Nunc Dimittis is a concert setting of Simeon's expression upon seeing the child Jesus before his own death. Set for SATB chorus and organ (orchestral score and parts available separately), it begins in free chant before stating the text in the basses with an original melody. The optional middle section is based on Regina Fryxell's interpretation with permission of Augsburg Fortress. The piece concludes with a grand four-part restatement of the original melody followed by the Gloria Patri. Though perhaps best suited in a concert setting, it could also be sung liturgically, in full or in part, in a worship setting.
