Lyrics:
Christmas Carols

(The Coventry Carol and Wexford Carol)

Arranged by Connie Boss

(Solo)

Lullay thou little tiny child, By by lully lullay

Lullay thou little tiny child, By by lully lullay

Verse 1:

Good people all this Christmas time

Consider all and bear in mind,

What our good God for us has done

In sending His beloved Son

With Mary holy, we should pray to God with love

To God with love this Christmas Day.

Verse 2:

The night before that happy tide,

The noble virgin while with her guide,

Were long time seeking up and down,

To find a lodging in the town.

But mark how all things had come to pass

From ev’ry door repelled at last

As long foretold their refuge all

Was but a humble, oxen’s stall

Verse 3:

Near Bethlehem did shepherds keep

Their flocks of lamb and feeding sheep

To whom God’s angels did appear

Which put the shepherds in great fear.

Prepare and go the Angel’s said

To Bethlehem, be not afraid

For there you’ll find this happy morn

A princely babe, sweet Jesus born.

Ending:

By by lully lullay.

SKU: A0.1121346

Composed by Guy Gross and John Palmer. Arranged by Sandra Milliken. Christmas,Contemporary. Octavo. 8 pages. Sandra Milliken #722519. Published by Sandra Milliken (A0.1121346).

Christmas in Australia is the theme song from the animated, made-for-TV movie Blinky Bill’s White Christmas, a spin-off from the Blinky Bill children’s books (by Australian writer Dorothy Wall) and the Adventures of Blinky Bill TV series. The telemovie first aired on Australia’s Seven Network on Christmas Eve of 2005. In the movie the song was sung by Christine Anu, who also reprised it at Sydney’s 2007 Carols in the Domain. Weather-wise, Christmastime in Australia is very different from that in the Northern Hemisphere. Instead of cold, snow and spending time indoors, there’s lots of sunshine, lots of colour everywhere and lots to do in the great outdoors. This delightful song – Christmas in Australia – highlights the fact that, whilst these differences do exist, the true meaning of Christmas, the reasons for rejoicing, the coming together of friends and family, the excitement of children, the decorating, and the caring and sharing are the same the world over. For on this little world of ours, we’re all one family. So, come and join us as we sing, around the Christmas tree. Christmas in Australia deserves a place in the best of Australian Christmas songs. Unfortunately, it is not as widely known and performed as it should be; perhaps because the music has not been readily available. Hopefully these new arrangements for choirs and soloists may go some way towards redressing that situation. This arrangement is available in six versions – SATB, SSA and 2-Part for choirs; Low, medium and high voice for soloists/unison choirs. An instrumental accompaniment for Glockenspiel and string ensemble is also available separately.

Large Ensemble Bells,Boomwhackers,Glockenspiel,Handbell,Handchime,Orff Instrument,Ukulele,Voice,Xylophone - Level 1 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.565786

By Sharon Wilson. By Benjamin R. Hanby. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Christmas,Praise & Worship,Romantic Period,Sacred. Score and parts. 9 pages. Sharon Wilson #6137839. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565786).

This sheet music is notated for 13-note (one octave, C to C chromatic scale) instruments with Handbells on one staff and Boomwhackers® on a second staff creating an instrumental ensemble (requires one set of each instrument). Handbells play the melody while the Boomwhackers® keep a steady beat with three-note chords. Included in this set of scores is a combined score with both instrument parts on a grand staff plus a separate score for each instrument. A note and chord reference chart is also provided.

This set of scores uses black and white noteheads and is best suited for musicians already familiar with reading standard music notation. For beginning musicians, this same set of scores is available (sold separately) with color coded noteheads.

Only filled noteheads (quarter and eighth notes) are used so the notes are easier to see (this does not indicate the bells need to be silenced immediately before the next beat). Also, only quarter rests are used to help visualize the number of beats per measure. Lyrics and chord names are provided as well to aid in the learning and teaching of this song.

Though this sheet music is notated for Handbells and Boomwhackers®, this arrangement is playable by any 13-note, C to C chromatic scale (one octave) instrument such as a xylophone or glockenspiel.

This arrangement is one of the 10 songs in the collection Ten Christmas Carols for 13-note Bells and Boomwhackers®

Other suggestions and uses:
* have both parts played by bells or both parts played using only Boomwhackers®
* form a choir using multiple sets of bells and/or Boomwhackers® (this would amplify the sound and allow more people to participate)
* use as part of the music education for children at school, home, or church
* these colorful, inexpensive instruments can be enjoyed by all ages and add a fun, unique element to activities and programs: senior centers, family reunions, church retreats, home school groups, children’s ministries
