Arranged by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Baroque,Celtic,Contemporary,Irish,Multicultural,World. 2 scores. 12 pages. David Warin Solomons #1936181. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.577491). The melody has been arranged by various composers over the centuries including Henry Purcell and also became known to listeners of BBC World Service in the 20th Century as its signature tune, despite the fact that the original song was more than somewhat disparaging of British rule over the Irish! This version is of moderate difficulty with each of the three instruments getting a bite of the melody. There is also an counter-rhythm featured in which one or other instrument plays in 3/4 against the 6/8 of the main melody. The sound sample is an electronic preview. The pdf file contains score and parts.
