Organ solo - advanced to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q20071 For Organ. Composed by Qi Zhang. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Duration 10 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q20071. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q20071). “With their pure fresh aroma, the tea leaves meet the steaming water that gurgles down into the purple clay teapot. The leaves begin to dance a mystic step, sing a historical song, and celebrate a great time with their best friends. From commonplace tiny sticks, they are reborn as beautiful elves. They stretch their bodies, roll down to the bottom, and float up to the lip of the teapot. Affected by their happiness, the water utters a sweet, elated and joyful whisper. The story can be smelt, observed and felt by hearts.†Inspired by the Chinese history and culture of tea, I composed Symphony in the Teapot in 2005. Because there were very few pipe organs in China, this work was originally written for Electone Organ, an electronic instrument featuring orchestral and newly developed electronic sounds. In 2009, at the suggestion of Cherry Rhodes and Jean Guillou, I arranged this piece for pipe organ and played the European premiere in Église Saint-Eustache in Paris. (Qi Zhang).

Mixed Percussion B-Flat Tuba,B-Flat trombone,Baritone Horn TC/Euphonium,Bass Trombone,E-Flat Cornet,E-Flat Tenor Horn,E-Flat Tuba TC,Flugelhorn,Percussion 1,Percussion 2,Tenor Trombone - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1394362 Composed by David Woodcock. 21st Century,Celtic,Classical,Contest,Festival,Irish,Medieval. Brass Band. 178 pages. David Woodcock #977843. Published by David Woodcock (A0.1394362). This is an heroic piece for Brass Band in three movements. It was the set piece for C Grade in the New Zealand National Band Contest in 2022. Programme Notes: From a young age, I was always interested in castles and history, and have visited many castles in my home country of Wales, which is sometimes called the “castle capital of the worldâ€. At one time Wales had about 600 castles, of which over 100 are still standing, either as ruins or restored buildings. The remainder have been reduced to ditches, mounds and earthworks. Visiting these amazing historically significant buildings has allowed me to reflect on their importance and purpose. In their day they were the centres of thriving communities and it is through their value as the focus of the community, that the three movements have developed their individual characteristics. The first movement depicts a large formidable castle, towering over the neighbouring lands, exuding power, authority and law, complete with noblemen and knights; the second movement describes the pastoral scenes around the castle, and the commoners going about their ordinary lives; the third demonstrates the military function of the castle which was to protect: when coming under siege, the people eventually triumph, the enemy defeated.

Cello Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.924869 Composed by Stanley M. Hoffman. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary. Individual part. 4 pages. Stanleymhoffman.com #3914653. Published by stanleymhoffman.com (A0.924869). This humorous solo cello piece was written while the composer was an undergraduate student at the Boston Conservatory of Music (now the Boston Conservatory at Berklee). One day the composer and a cellist friend of his were walking down a sidewalk in Kenmore Square when, all of a sudden, a looney man jumped into the busy traffic on Commonwealth Avenue playing a melody on a slide flute. The theme which opens this piece is that tune. The music that follows depicts him darting around creating chaos with cars honking their horns at him, etc. This is a fun piece. Enjoy!

Piano,Vocal,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.1180858 Composed by Julián De La Chica. 20th Century,Classical,Opera. Score. 62 pages. Vagabundo Music Publishing #780716. Published by Vagabundo Music Publishing (A0.1180858). MUSIC NOTES:Poemas de Bar is at the same time a cycle of deceptive simplicity. Each song suggests the bare outlines of a complex scenario of relationships, layers of memory filtered through the straightforward poetry. Musically, De La Chica knows how to use space and the weight of silence to load the most commonplace chords with aching resonance. Preconceived musical entities like “dissonance†or a jazz riff become sealed in a kind of sonic amber—objects in themselves. — Thomas May.
