Instrumental Duet Guitar,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596568 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 9 pages. Juan Maria Solare #4717703. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596568). Has the Rain a Father? This piece exists in two versions: Piano solo Guitar solo (without or with electronic sounds) The piano version has no huge secrets (to clarify: the pedal is used da capo al fine without interruption). The guitar version is written in three keys: E, G and A (Dorian). The performer may choose one or another score at their convenience. The guitar version can also use effects of all kinds, or amplifiers that are not always used in classical music. At the end of 2019 an album will be released on Spotify and other online music platforms with both versions of the piece (solo piano and acoustic guitar with electronic sounds). As an example of the amplitude that the composer expects from the performers: in this record production, the guitar signal is split in two parts, panned to the right and left, and different types of effects are applied to each channel (chorus, delay, reverb of different kinds and with different parameters). The original guitar signal is also in the center. Of course, there are also the electronic sounds themselves. A preliminary version can be heard here: https://juanmariasolare.bandcamp.com/album/has-the-rain-a-father Has the Rain a Father? is a quote from the bible, specifically from the book of Job 38:28. It is part of a series of rhetorical questions that tend to convince Job of his ignorance. Has the Rain a Father? was composed in Bremen (Germany) on March 17, 2019 (plus details to the piano part on March 27). Its duration is about 4:30. I asked some people about the wording of the title. Among the meaningful answers:   Which wording is better, Has the rain a Father? or Does the Rain have a father? (Bible, Job, 38:28). It will be used as the title of a music piece for piano. Has the Rain a Father? is slightly unusual, and thus is attention-grabbing, something you want in a title. It sounds more biblical, calling attention to the allusion. In ordinary speech the Does the . . . version is more common, but for a title you don’t necessarily want common. (Johnny Wilson, former Writer and Magazine Editor (1973-1999))

Woodwind Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Bass Clarinet,Bassoon,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1339643 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Conrad Ho. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical. 42 pages. Conrad Ho #925343. Published by Conrad Ho (A0.1339643). On the page it looked nothing. The beginning simple, almost comic. Just a pulse, bassoons and basset horns, like a rusty squeezebox. Then suddenly; high above it, an oboe, a single note, hanging there unwavering, till a clarinet took over and sweetened it into a phrase of such delight! This was no composition by a performing monkey! This was a music I’d never heard. Filled with such longing, such unfulfillable longing. It seemed to me that I was hearing the very voice of God.--- 'Amadeus' (1984)This is one of the most gorgeous woodwind ensemble composition written during in the Classical period, by W.A. Mozart. It is now a common knowledge that Mozart was not fond of flute as an instrument, therefore we see the instrumention in the original version was without flute. In this arrangement, the melodies and accompaniment are separated with all the main melodies played by soloists which corresponds to the original principal parts. Horn is also arranged into Alto Saxophones which is more common in a woodwind ensemble.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1027334 Composed by Jeremy Goh, Daniel Cheng. Contemporary. Score and parts. 23 pages. Jeremy Goh #12123. Published by Jeremy Goh (A0.1027334). We present a work composed as a tongue-in-cheek expression of a popular street tune heard today, put through a series of 5 variations that explore different styles. It works in both a satirical as well as sophisticated manner vertically and horizontally, and uses multiple cliches that will get the audience perking up in recognition. The theme, 贺新年, is a common tune sung in Chinese New Year celebrations. In the heart of celebrating the New Year, this piece is written playable by musicians of all ages, whether in schools or as community orchestras and bands, to come together by the common celebratory notion in a work for an extended orchestra, including the saxophone and euphonium. Written by Daniel Cheng and Jeremy Goh, we hope that this season this piece can bring both laughter and reverence to the street tune, blown out of proportion in style and size. Starting the work is an atonal entry, built on tone rows and planing, legacies of Shoenberg and his contemporaries, before decomposing into an exceedingly lively statement of the theme. This is then juxtaposed beside a trip to tribal communities with interlocking rhythms and a modal distortion of the melody. From the modal mess and deviation from diatonicism, we then return to the prim and proper style of Mozart and Haydn in a short Classical variation. As if to mock its neat stature, this then is shattered with a juxtaposition beside a variation in the style of Shostakovich, modelled after the controversial Leningrad symphony, which draws on a different dimension of the theme, its banality, and propagating and emulsifying it to terrifying levels as it is distorted. Finally, a schreckenfanfare is directed marking an entry into a tribute to one of the greatest legends in music composition, with Beethoven along with its transcendental qualities of cyclism, and use of learned styles, methods of maintaining tension etc., bringing a grand ending to the 10 minute long work.

Horn,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1122411 Composed by Steven Kudlo. 20th Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary. 33 pages. Steven Mark Kudlo #723561. Published by Steven Mark Kudlo (A0.1122411). A polystylistic, minimalist composition in six movements, with an overall neoclassical feel. At least one meter change within each movement. Some of the meters are unusual, such as 5/4 or 7/8. The styles within each movement are dissonant/diatonic, expressionistic, and common practice harmony. Each movement ends on a passage of diatonic harmony. Common practice harmony is a feature of each movement. It's almost 15 minutes in length. Fairly easy to play for college horn students; the violin could be played probably by high schoolers. Intermediate to advanced intermediate.

Published by Musik Fabrik Music Publishing (A0.535376). Gather Us In is an excerpt from Undelivered, a cantata written about the speech that John F. Kennedy never gaev in Dallas in November, 1963. In this piece for chorus and piano, Suzanne Calvin adapted this text from the Oxford Book of Prayer originally by G.D. Matheson (1842-1906). The work is suitable for both religious services and concert performances. Gather us in, Thou love that fillest all;Gather our rival faiths within thy fold.Rend each man’s temple-veil and bid it fall,That we may know that Thou hast been of old;Gather us in.Gather us in: we worship only Thee;In varied names we stretch a common hand;In diverse forms a common soul we see;In many ships we seek one spirit-land;Gather us in.Each one sees one colour of thy rainbow-light,Each looks upon one tint and calls it heaven;Thou art the fullness of our partial sight; We are not perfect till we find the seven;Gather us in.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Digital Download SKU: A0.984321 Composed by Erik Satie, Johan de Wit, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Johan de Wit. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Romantic Period,Standards. 60 pages. Concustic #4111493. Published by Concustic (A0.984321). 4 for 4This set of 4 pieces is compiled so, that in one booklet different aspects of the ensemble playing can be optimally practiced. A quiet, slow piece, where you can work on the sound and the intonation of the ensemble (Bach).A work in which the accompanying voices and main melody must find a dynamic balance. In which, however, a common breathing phrasing is required (Brahms).Even more, the Gnossienne no 1 demands the same skills as Brahms. Whereby a common, swaying rhythmic pulsation is added. The Kleine Ouvertüre (Little Overture) demands more skill in the field of technique and to perform regularly flowing melodies, as well as to put the practice of the coherence of these contrapuntal melodies opposite.
