Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quartet Clarinet - Digital Download SKU: A0.984321 Composed by Erik Satie, Johan de Wit, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Johan de Wit. Baroque,Concert,Contemporary,Romantic Period,Standards. 60 pages. Concustic #4111493. Published by Concustic (A0.984321). 4 for 4This set of 4 pieces is compiled so, that in one booklet different aspects of the ensemble playing can be optimally practiced. A quiet, slow piece, where you can work on the sound and the intonation of the ensemble (Bach).A work in which the accompanying voices and main melody must find a dynamic balance. In which, however, a common breathing phrasing is required (Brahms).Even more, the Gnossienne no 1 demands the same skills as Brahms. Whereby a common, swaying rhythmic pulsation is added. The Kleine Ouvertüre (Little Overture) demands more skill in the field of technique and to perform regularly flowing melodies, as well as to put the practice of the coherence of these contrapuntal melodies opposite. Handbell - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1284591 Composed by William Gardiner. Arranged by Mark R Lewis. Classical,Folk,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 8 pages. Mark R Lewis #875766. Published by Mark R Lewis (A0.1284591). The text for Take Up Thy Cross was written by the hymnwriter Charles W. Everest and has several tunes associated with it. The tune used here is variably referred to as Germany or Gardiner, after the most common arranger. The tune was actually composed by the famous German composer Beethoven but the most common arrangement of the tune was by William Gardiner in his volumes known as Sacred Melodies. The tune is also used by some schools for their alma mater song. The tune is also used for the hymn Where Cross the Crowded Ways of Life. This arrangement of the tune is for 3 to 5 octave handbell choir and utilizes handchimes extensively. It also starts with the singing bell technique. While the changes between bells and chimes are a little abrupt and there are steady eighth note patterns through much of the piece, it is not too difficult and is comfortably in the 3 difficulty range.Season: GeneralRange: 3-5 octaves.

SATB choir unaccompanied - Moderately Difficult - Digital Download SKU: MQ.5131-E Composed by Gwyneth W. Walker. Instrument part. 23 pages. E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital #5131-E. Published by E. C. Schirmer Music Company - Digital (MQ.5131-E). English.Motherless Child is derived, in part, from the African-American spiritual Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child. The original song dates back to the era of slavery when it was common practice to sell children of slaves away from their parents. In this new adaptation, the theme of separation or alienation (away from home, apart from one's community is viewed as universal and eternal. Everyone at some time feels like a motherless child. But as one expresses these feelings, one realizes a common bond with humanity. And one is no longer alone. Thus a more hopeful refrain is woven into the lyrics of the spiritual:Hold on. Hold on, We are together. And we are one.

Handbell - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.953727 Composed by William B. Bradbury and John B. Dykes. Arranged by G. R. Adkison. Christian,Sacred. Score. 5 pages. Gary Ray Adkison #14257. Published by Gary Ray Adkison (A0.953727). Holy God Medley is a medley of the Christian hymns: He Leadeth Me, O Blessed Thought and Holy, Holy, Holy arranged for 4-5 octave handbell choirs. It starts with a two measure introduction, followed by He Leadeth Me, O Blessed Thought. This is fairly up-tempo, with a surprise modulation going into the chorus. In the chorus, there are bass runs, a brief descant line, and doubling of the melody into the high bells. There are then two verses of Holy, Holy, Holy. The first verse is slow and is in ¾ time, instead of the normal common meter. It is also soft and *very* plain, as a setup for the last verse, which is faster, and grows in volume to the end, with much fuller chords, and uses the normal common meter that the original hymn uses. There is another surprise modulation halfway through this verse. Very full chords are used, with a brief bass clef downward arpeggio in the next to last measure, to emphasize the ending. The first verse of Holy, Holy, Holy can be performed with handchimes, if desired, although the arrangement is not scored as such. The audio demonstration clip provided is in a piano voice (patch) but suffices to demonstrate how this arrangement is generally meant to sound. I believe that this is probably a 2+ (2 plus) arrangement in degree of difficulty.

Euphonium - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1108354 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 25 pages. Regis Bookshar #710994. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1108354). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Euphonium Quintet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Euphonium Quintet and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (25 pages), written in Bass Clef. There is also a version written in Treble Clef, if you would prefer. The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Euphonium Quintet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.
