Jazz Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Bass Guitar,Drum Set,Piano and Keyboard,Tenor Saxophone,Trombone,Trumpet - Interactive Download SKU: A0.481588 By Sergio Mendes. By Jorge Ben. Arranged by Adam C. Berry. This edition: Interactive Download. Jazz,Latin. Score and parts. 57 pages. Duration 211. Published by AB Music Publishing (A0.481588). Grade 3-3.5 Jazz Ensemble. Arranged in the style of the piece's original composer, Jorge Ben Jor, this medium-advanced level rendition of Mas Que Nada features different soli combinations of tenor sax and trombone to capture the vocal qualities of the melody before the whole ensemble chimes in. The piece uses LATIN SAMBA and SWING interchangeably to add rhythmic variety (look for system text call-outs for SAMBA and SWING). In addition to the sectional features previously described, this chart features solos for trumpet, alto sax, and drums. Auxiliary percussion usage, such as African/Latin drums and/or shakers, is encouraged. CONDUCTORS NOTE: The trombone pitch bends in measures 16 and 24 are supposed to be DOWN 1/2 STEP, not UP. There is apparently an error in Noteflight that does not display this correctly. I have not had luck figuring the issue out.

Bass Clarinet Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.784329 Composed by Joshua Hauser. Instructional. Individual part. 38 pages. Slide Ride #5288649. Published by Slide Ride (A0.784329). 1 Octave Scale Studies in 15+ keys for 4-part ensembles of like or mixed instruments If this is your first exposure to these scale studies, you are in for a treat! Donuts, if you make a mistake! The initial incarnation of these studies were written for trombone quartet and we would play them in the Tennessee Tech Trombone Choir with the challenge that whomever made the first mistake had to buy donuts for the rest of the ensemble. Since then I have brought that version to several clinics and warm up sessions. One time before I got to explain the title, a fellow trombone professor said, Oh, I get it! Don’t step in the holes!I only wish I had thought of that myself... Since we have one of the best donut shops in TN here in Cookeville, treating the studio to sugar coated goodies was always my intent. As with those initial exercises, you can vary these as much as you’d like.·     Choose a tempo.·     Choose a dynamic.·     Choose an articulation/style.One way I like to play these is to have one person be the model, playing the entire scale over and over while everyone else plays the fragmented versions. That helps everyone to keep on track and stay in time. Double or triple up the parts for ensemble cohesion with a larger group.Practice one key, gradually speeding it up to improve fluidity, or choose a variation and take it through all keys, playing version A, B, C, or D then skipping to play the same set in a new key.If you want an additional challenge, play them in different octaves or change the key. Play the F Major set in f minor (all forms), different modes, etc. Players really have to be on their toes to remember if they are playing melodic minor in the ascending or descending form! For jazz players, try swinging them in dorian or mixolydian modes. The variations are endless! If you are using these with transposing instruments, 1) is F Major in Concert Pitch, 2) is Bb Major in Concert pitch, and so on. When you reach a scale that is enharmonic for another key (Db/C#, Gb/F#, or Cb/B), they are presented in both keys for each instrument so Trumpets can play in Eb while the Flutes are playing in C# with similar examples for all keys. All Donut Etudes with the same volume number are compatible so you can play them in mixed quartets or large ensembles with one or more instruments/people on part 1 and a different instrument on part 2, etc. Since the quartets are all identical, conductors/coaches can use any of the scores to tell which part should be playing at what time. Once you have played a scale with one set of parts, everyone can rotate to a different part and play the same scales again!Enjoy!

Alto Saxophone Duet Alto Saxophone - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.588479 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by David McKeown. Folk,Hanukkah,Jewish,World. 2 scores. 6 pages. David McKeown #6017103. Published by David McKeown (A0.588479). 7.40pm is a traditional Russian Jewish tune, often performed by Klezmer musicians. This version is arranged as a duet for two Alto Saxophones. It isn’t completely clear where the title 7.40pm comes from. One interpretation is that 7.40pm was the time the Odessa tram conductors finished work and danced to this tune. But there are versions titled 7.40am which may refer to the time of Jewish early morning prayers. Whatever the origin, there are several Russian recordings of 7.40pm that predate the 1917 revolution.7.40pm is simply arranged in a key and range best suited to the instruments. After a slow and expressively beginning, the melody switches to dance tempo.  7.40pm is suitable for players at an intermediate level and above. With a performance time of a little over three minutes, this version of 7.40pm is perfect for recital and concert performances, both formal and informal. Click the link above to listen to a full Youtube performance of the Clarinet version of this duet. There are many more top quality arrangements and compositions by David McKeown for you to browse at http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/publishers/david-mckeown/6203

The last two movements are in the Key of F major. The third movement displays of what it is like to chill out in the sunlight. This deeply moving ballad is so beautiful and will portray the longest movement of the piece. String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.529608 Composed by Gustav Mahler. Arranged by Diego Marani. Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and parts. 8 pages. Diego Marani #139906. Published by Diego Marani (A0.529608). The Symphony No. 3 in D minor by Gustav Mahler was written in 1896, or maybe only completed in that year, but composed between 1893 and 1896. It is choral, his longest piece and is the longest symphony in the standard repertoire. It was voted one of the ten greatest symphonies of all time in a survey of conductors carried out by the BBC Music Magazine. The last movement (Chorale) in particular had a triumphant critical success. The Swiss critic William Ritter, in his review of the premiere given in 1902, said of the last movement: Perhaps the greatest Adagio written since Beethoven. This arrangement for string quartet includes the following parts: Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello. It is suitable for classroom, repertoire and recital.

Full Orchestra - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1119845 Composed by William Pagan-Perez. Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 38 pages. William Pagan-Perez #721189. Published by William Pagan-Perez (A0.1119845). Taino March is a single-movement piece for the Youth Orchestra by Composer William Pagán-Pérez. The work is in the key of D Major. This piece was inspired totally by The Imperial March (Darth Vader Theme) by the legendary composer John Williams and analysis from this video https://youtu.be/m3xPOs9CtJ4. Composer Pagán-Pérez followed some teachings organized in Volume I of the Suzuki Methods to compose the piece for the string sections and a grade level 1 or 2 for the wind and brass instruments (rhythms, melodies, or range). The key of D Major can be a challenge for the winds and brass (especially for clarinets and trumpets in Bb), but music teachers, conductors, and students will manage the obstacles by practicing scales and arpeggios. Instrumentation: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet in Bb, Bassoon, Horn in F, Trumpet in Bb, Trombone, Tuba, Cymbals, Glockenspiel, Xylophone, Snare Drum, Tenor Drum or Low Tom, Bass Drum, Violin I, Violin II, Viola, Cello, Double Bass.
