Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.969101 Composed by J. Will Callahan, Max Kortlander. Arranged by Dan Gabel. Country,Film/TV,Jazz,Pop. Score. 2 pages. Daniel Clayton Gabel #6256093. Published by Daniel Clayton Gabel (A0.969101). A favorite of bands, jazz musicians, and dancers for one hundred years, Whispering has stood the test of time. It is a great tune, and one of great historic importance that deserves a place in your band's library! This is more than a lead sheet: it is an arrangement in Eb, including the lyrics and the rarely-heard verse. This is ready to pass out to your combo: bass, guitar, drums, piano, voice, and some horns, too. The chart is professionally engraved and formatted for ease of reading. This arrangement is based on the stellar recording by Bing Crosby with Bob Scoby's Frisco Jazz Band on:Bing with a Beat (RCA Victor, 1957) - see history below.Tell Me - a brief history:One of the first recordings made by a jazz ensemble, The Original Dixieland 'Jass' Band in 1919. Also a hit recording for tenor Lamber Murphy on Victor Record #45171 on September 18, 1919 (9/18 is arranger Dan Gabel's birthday!).The song experienced renewed interest in the 1950s thanks to the hit recording and movie by Doris Day On Moonlight Bay in 1951. It was also recorded with success by Burl Ives and gained popularity in the folk/country music scene.Revived once again with the original verse, Bing Crosby recorded it on one of the best jazz vocal albums of the 1950s: Bing with a Beat, with Bob Scoby's Frisco Jazz Band.

Guitar,Piano,Vocal,Voice - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1201367 By Peggy Lee. By Al Hill and Jenny Lou Carson. Arranged by John Fries. 20th Century,Country,Pop,Standards. Score. 2 pages. John Fries #800022. Published by John Fries (A0.1201367). Please contact me by email at jfries@ptd.net to make a special request or to find out all that I have to offer and to express your comments or concerns.  You can also type John Fries in the searchbar to see all I have to offer. Thanks, John.  It is based on an earlier song called Let Me Go, Devil, about alcoholism. Let Me Go, Lover was first featured on the television program Studio One on November 15, 1954, and caught the fancy of the public. Mitch Miller took advantage of the recording's exposure on national television and sent copies of the record to 2,000 disc jockeys, who began to play it on their radio stations. A result of the program was to illustrate how efficiently a song could be promoted by introducing it to the public via radio or a TV production.

B-Flat Trumpet Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1217913 Composed by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons. Arranged by Leo Silva. Jazz. Individual part. 1 pages. MP Sheet Music #814431. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.1217913). Composition and characteristics  All of Me is a jazz standard whose lyrics and music were written by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons in 1931. It has an ABAC structure and was originally written in the key of B-flat major. The melody combines the music's contradictory possibilities. The downward thrusts of the opening phrases suggest emotional despair, while the final line, with its repeated high notes, sounds almost jubilant. It usually runs in an average time. All of Me first came to public notice when a performance by Belle Baker was broadcast on the radio in 1931. After that a few others also became successful.Frank Sinatra recorded several versions of All of Me. Its 1948 release peaked at No. 21. He also sang it in the film Meet Danny Wilson, which may have helped Johnnie Ray's performance reach No. 12 in the charts that year. Sinatra's use of All of Me brought a non-jazz audience to the song, as did Willie Nelson, whose version was included on his Stardust album and reached No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart in 1978. In 2000, All of Me of Me received the Towering Song Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
