Bass Drum,Bongos,Marimba,Shaker,Tambourine,Timbales,Wind Chimes,Woodblock - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1015090 Composed by Dane Anthony Madrigal. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards. 8 pages. Dane Anthony Madrigal #6207807. Published by Dane Anthony Madrigal (A0.1015090). COMPOSER’S NOTESFinding Time To Dance is a piece that is dedicated to the Department of Dance at Chapman University. The piece is found in a world of high rhythmical contrast and virtuosic playing, especially on the part of the percussionist. The idea for this piece comes from wanting to fade varied rhythmic groups with a Klezmer style of violin playing. After working through the piece, what I found most exciting is the absolute wonkiness that it has in every section. As the piece develops in time, the sense of meter becomes less concrete.

Concert Band - Digital Download SKU: AX.00-PC-0017051_PC1 1st Percussion. Composed by Percy Aldridge Grainger. Arranged by Thomas P. Rohrer. Instructional. Part. 1 pages. Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music #00-PC-0017051_PC1. Published by Alfred Music - Digital Sheet Music (AX.00-PC-0017051_PC1). UPC: 038081498232.This delightful Grainger classic was written to depict a jolly old George Friedrich Handel careening down the Strand (the theatre district of London) accompanied by the English popular music of the day. Given the original instrumentation and label as a chamber piece in Grainger's original publication, this transcription is taken directly from Grainger's four-some edition of 1912, transposed down a step from G to F major. It is scored to best depict the light (and sometimes percussive) quality of the piano along with the lyrical flow of the strings and the general character of chamber music. Ultimately, the room music quality of the original shines through in this skillful transcription while depicting the spirit of the piece in a way that Grainger might have chosen.
