The beginning is active establishing a happy beginning to the piece. Then all the parts are in straight harmonies and then become fragmented. A modulation takes place allowing the lower voices to carry the tune. Then a tuba sola solo commences with light upper parts decorating the lines, until the parts fragment. This concludes with a modulation with motivic statements. After a brief intermission the piece takes off again with the tune in the lower voices and the trumpets add a flurry descants. As the piece comes to a close more and more voices add to the mix until the pieces adds a solid, grand statement.Key of Ab, Db, Eb.

In Alla breve the trumpets begin the piece in exultation with counter-movement in the trombones passing through a maze of meter changes. The theme tends to be insolated by part, but does exchange between the voices in an imitative format. This format continues, only in a more harmonically full scoring. The second section is stronger in fabric and the voicing becomes more solid. This all leads up to a solid conclusion with a final statement of satisfaction.

The first thematic statement is made with a delicately altered theme in the upper line while the lower line moves in a gentle counterpoint.. The second section is in a new key at a higher level with the melody alters even more while the second voice is more expressive and stretched out. The next section changes key once again and mirrors the movement of the first section. Again, a modulation takes place and the parts are more bold and duet like in their presentation. A final modulation takes the piece upward and the style is more bold where it comes to a brief Coda- where it relaxes into a quite confidence.

In variation two, the tune is rhythmically altered while the upper accompaniment is presented in a spritely fashion. Variation three, the tune is in a triplet moving nature while the theme is in block harmonization in the accompaniment. Variation four is expressive in an almost cadenza fashion. Finally, the Fugue is in a lively four voice manner, ending with a strong proclamation of the title, itself.
