Januar 1791) in sein Verzeichnuss aller meiner Werke, etwas spater finden wir unter dem 3. Marz 1791 Ein OrgelStucke fur eine Uhr. Gemeint sind die beiden ublicherweise als Fantasie bezeichneten Werke in f-Moll, KV 594 und KV 608, die Mozart mit grosser Wahrscheinlichkeit fur eine mit einem Uhrwerk verbundene mechanische Orgel - also einen Orgel-Automaten - im Mausoleum Laudons der Mullerschen Kunstgalerie geschrieben hat. Wer unter diesen so harmlos wirkenden Titeln eine ebenso harmlose, hubsche und unterhaltende Musik erwartet, wird schon durch die Tonart der beiden in Mozarts letztem Lebensjahr entstandenen Musiken uberrascht sein - vielmehr noch durch ihre konzentrierte Form und Ausdruckstiefe. Stucke fur ein mechanisches Orgelwerk zu schreiben war durchaus eine Aufgabe, der sich viele der grossen Meister des 18. Jahrhunderts unterzogen. Wir haben kostliche Miniaturen fur eine Flotenuhr von Handel, Haydn, Beethoven u.a., die heute in der Regel auf einer Orgel wiedergegeben werden. Umso verwunderlicher ist es, dass Mozart mit diesen beiden Kompositionen eine ganz andere Musik geschaffen hat: gross dimensioniert schon in der Ausdehnung, die der Lange eines Sinfoniesatzes entspricht, erst recht aber in ihrer inhaltlichen Ausarbeitung! Vom dusteren Adagio am Beginn der Fantasie KV 594 uber das triumphierend auffahrende Allegro bis zum ersterbenden Ende wird der Horer gleichermassen wie in der entgegengesetzt aufgebauten Fantasie KV 608 von dem mit dramatisch-heroischem Impetus anpackenden Themenkopf uber das durch 2 Fugen von allerhochster Meisterschaft umrahmten innig beruhrenden Andante bis zum letzten Ton in Atem gehalten. War es die vermutete Bestimmung der Kompositionen als Trauermusik oder Mozarts Beschaftigung mit Handel und Bach, die so ungewohnlich ergreifende Musik entstehen liess? Unuberhorbar ist jedenfalls ihre Nahe zu seinen letzten grossen Kirchenmusiken, der Messe c-Moll und dem Requiem! Wolfgang Helbich in seinem Vorwort zu den beiden Fantasien fur eine Uhr.

The Six Divertimentos Hob.IV. 6 - 11 were composed in 1784 for flute, violin and cello or two violins and cello. This is the first of the set and has been arranged for flute, oboe and basoon or cello. The three movements, Andante cantabile, Allegro and Tempo di Menuetto, are well contrasted and will provide enjoyment for three equal players and their audiences. In arranging the Divertimento necessary changes of octave have been made in the upper parts. Some alterations to dynamics, articulations and accompanying figures have been made which reflect and accommodate the sonorities and techniques of the change from sting to wind ensemble.

Composed for the Earl of Abingdon London during the 1760s, this trio was written for flute, violin and cello or viola da gamba.  It was the second of four trios which were afterwards published - with the Earl’s permission - and sold by John Preston at his music Warehouse in London from 1785. This would have been a useful source of income for Abel, then in his sixties. There are three movements, Allegro moderato, Andante and Allegro non troppo in the classical style which players of intermediate standard should enjoy. Abel's music was greatly admired by the young Mozart when he visited London.

John Baptist Loeillet, a Flemish Baroque composer, wrote six sonatas for flute and basso continuo in his Op. 5 No. 2. Il concerto per pianoforte e orchestra n. 20, KV 466, è una composizione di Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, completata il 10 febbraio1785 a Vienna.Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart finì di comporre il Concerto per pianoforte e orchestra n. 20 in re minore K 466 il 10 febbraio 1785. Il giorno successivo lo eseguì come solista a Vienna in uno dei suoi concerti per abbonamento che, a quel tempo, avevano molto richiamo. Narra la leggenda che Mozart distribuì agli orchestrali le copie appena trascritte dell'ultimo movimento, al momento stesso di andare in scena. Il concerto si svolse nella sala Mehlgrube e vi parteciparono anche il padre Leopold, appositamente venuto da Salisburgo.L'Andante del secondo tempo è una romanza in 2/2 in forma ABACA. Come fa spesso, qui Mozart gioca di contrasti, espliciti e mascherati. Il primo contrasto è con il carattere del movimento che lo ha preceduto. Nell'inizio del secondo movimento il tema è sereno, apparentemente idilliaco e la tonalità solare (Si bemolle maggiore) lo conferma. È il tempo scelto (2/2) che ci fornisce il primo indizio sulle intenzioni dell'autore. A differenza di altri pezzi di grande lirismo il tempo non è un morbido ternario (3/4, 6/8), né un 4/4 con il suo respiro ampio ed il suo alternarsi di battere forti e smussati, ma un marziale 2/2. Il tema principale viene esposto dal solista, ripreso poco dopo dall'orchestra, passa dall'una all'altro con la solita maestria orchestrale mozartiana. Il secondo tema si presenta immediatamente con un salto di ottava ed intervalli ampi si ritrovano in tutto il suo svolgimento. È questo espediente più volte iterato che Mozart usa per costruire tensioni armoniche in crescendo che portano al minore e ad atmosfere già distanti dal primo tema. Con grazia sorprendente Mozart torna quindi sul primo tema per la seconda sezione. La terza sezione tematica precipita in minore, e questa volta con una serie di scale forsennate che richiamano alcuni passaggi dello sviluppo del primo movimento. Gli accordi verticali in forte (bisognerà aspettare Beethoven per i primi fortissimo) marcano di brusche fermate e riprese il rincorrersi delle scale. Un arpeggio rallentato e un arabesco riportano al tema principale che chiude questa pagina in un finto clima di riconciliazione, aprendo al frenetico finale.
