Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.905638 Composed by George Frideric Handel. Arranged by Daniel Steenson. 20th Century,Baroque,Easter,Sacred,Wedding. Score. 3 pages. Daniel Steenson #4580467. Published by Daniel Steenson (A0.905638). Enjoy the spirit of celebration in this hymn tune from G.F. Handel's well-known chorus, See, The Conqu'ring Hero Comes from his oratorio Judas Maccabaeus.  Arranged by Daniel Steenson, this Neo-baroque transcription of Thine Be The Glory (hymn text by Edmond Budry) is an effective offertory or postlude at Easter, Thanksgiving or throughout the church year.  Handel's tune is often heard at weddings, funerals, graduations and as an advent hymn .  Late-intermediate / early-advanced.  Keep the moving bass-lines light and articulate with discreet use of pedal.  Feel the musical pulse in two and listen for terraced-dynamic effects.

Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1162696 By Jax. By Dan Henig, Jacqueline Miskanic, and Mark Nilan Jr. Arranged by Jim Lansing. Instructional,Pop,Rock. Score. 4 pages. Jim Lansing #763072. Published by Jim Lansing (A0.1162696). Early Intermediate level arrangement of Jax's 2022 smash hit Victoria's Secret transposed up to G for less accidentals and set in fast 4/4 to eliminate 16th notes..  Syncopation smoothed out for easier reading; once notes are learned, encourage player to use their ear and fix the rhythms to match the artist's recording. LH plays in G position with exception of one D# in m. 32.  RH plays mostly in G, C, D, & Em positions BUT has significant movement due to melody's near 2 octave range.  Challenges include an octave leap (mm.28-29), intervals of 3rd between 1-2 & 2-3, and finger substitutions on repeated notes.

In the spirit of the time Blainville was a practical musician, composer, theorist, historian and, in some way, an encyclopedist. As practical musician and composer he was cellist and it is known that he played his own compositions at the Concert Spirituel in Paris, but neither his performances nor his compositions met with outstanding success. As theorist Blainville claimed the discovery of a third mode (mode mixte) between major and minor, unfortunately his harmonic theories did not have the expected success. As historian and encyclopedist we found his work Historie générale et philologique de la musique, published in Paris in 1767. The work is in consonance with other contemporaries works such as Rousseau’s Dictonaire de Musique (1768) or the Essai sur la musique ancienne et moderne, published around 1780 by M. de Laborde and Pierre Joseph Roussier. As in these works, the work of Blainville broadly covers the musical knowledge, including theoretical-musical, stylistic, historical and ethnographic aspects. Framed in this last aspect we find a chapterdedicated to the music of the Turks. And it is in this chapter we find the musical pieces used in this arrangement.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.742468 Composed by Franz Liszt. Arranged by Arte Nova Music Lab. Concert,Romantic Period,Standards. Score. 7 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #4412089. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742468). The Consolations are a set of six solo piano works by Franz Liszt. The compositions take the musical style of Nocturnes with each having its own distinctive style. Each Consolation is composed in either the key of E major or D-flat major. E major is a key regularly used by Liszt for religious themes. There exist two versions of the Consolations. The first (S.171a) was composed by Liszt between 1844 and 1849 and published in 1992 by G. Henle Verlag. The second (S.172) was composed between 1849 and 1850 and published in 1850 by Breitkopf & Härtel, containing the familiar Consolation No. 3, Lento placido, in D-flat Major. The third Consolation is in D-flat major and initially marked as Lento placido. It is the most popular of the Consolations and also a favorite encore piece. Its style is similar to the Chopin Nocturnes, in particular, it seems to have been inspired by Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 27 No. 2. The similarity between the two works has been interpreted as a tribute to Chopin who died in 1849, a year before the Consolations were published. This third Consolation is however one of several of Liszt's works that take a style reminiscent of Chopin; some examples include Liszt's Polonaises, Berceuse, Mazurka brillante, and his Ballades. In 1883, years after composing the Consolation, Liszt received a Grand piano from the Steinway Company with a design that included a sostenuto pedal. Liszt began transcribing this Consolation for the new sostenuto pedal and in a letter to Steinway he wrote: In relation to the use of your welcome tone-sustaining pedal I inclose two examples: Danse des Sylphes, by Berlioz, and No. 3 of my Consolations. I have today noted down only the introductory bars of both pieces, with this proviso, that, if you desire it, I shall gladly complete the whole transcription, with exact adaptation of your tone-sustaining pedal. Liszt recommended sparing usage of the sostenuto pedal in the interpretation of this Consolation and opined on the positive effect it would have on the more tranquil passages. Small Ensemble Bassoon,Cello,Clarinet,Flute,Oboe - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811719 Composed by Joseph Bodin De Boismortier (1689 - 1755). Arranged by Edited & arranged by Pat Spence. Baroque,Concert,Graduation,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 22 pages. Piper Publications #5213745. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811719). The sonata is the first of a set of six published in Paris in 1725 by L’Auteur & Boivin ‘Avec Privilege du Roy.1725.’ The title page described them as ‘SONATES EN TRIO pour Trois Flûtes Transversieres sans Basse Par MR BOISMORTIER. OEVRE SEPTIÈME.’The publication consisted of a set of parts each with the title page followed by a copy of the  Privilége granted by King Louis to Boismortier to print and sell his music. The fourth sonata has been arranged for flute or oboe, clarinet & bassoon or cello. The four movements are Doucement, Courante, Allemande and a pair of minuets. Players of intermediate standard and above will enjoy the independent part writing. Obvious mistakes and omissions have been corrected without comment, trills have been added where there is for e.g. a sequence where only the first trill has been indicated or a similar passage has a trill in that part or another part. The more modern tr has been substituted for + and the mordant used on shorter notes retained. The only dynamics included in the original are Doucement (softly) at the beginning of the first movement and Doux , an indication to play softly from bar/measure 49 to the end of the first movement, and none have been added.  Players should feel free to add their own. For the arrangement some changes of register have been made to accommodate the ranges of the oboe and clarinet and additional slurs have been added (dashed lines). Players are free to retain the ‘feel’ of early eighteenth century style whilst playing modern instruments. The original publication used the, now defunct, soprano clef (with G on the bottom line of the stave) and this edition has been transcribed into the modern treble clef. In the eighteenth century it was quite usual for wind players to play several instruments. The use of the soprano clef would have made it easier to switch between flute and bassoon.
